Prince William points four-word assertion about Kate’s most cancers restoration

Prince William praised Kate after her cancer recovery and a successful solo Italy trip, saying he is “very very proud” and that she returned “buzzing”, while also sharing new light-hearted details

Prince William has paid tribute to his wife Kate after her cancer recovery and recent solo trip to Italy. The Prince of Wales joined Heart FM presenters Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston for a special live broadcast from the Isles of Scilly.

He made rare comments about Kate’s return to duties after her cancer diagnosis. He said: “I’m very very proud.

“She’s been through so much in the last couple of years and she’s been looking forward to the Italian trip a lot. I’m so pleased it went well for her and she came back buzzing.”

The prince said he didn’t realise she spoke Italian after showing off her skills abroad.

“She’s an amazing mum, an amazing wife and literally our family couldn’t cope without her,” he said. “She’s edging herself back into doing more of those trips.”

The wide-ranging interview also saw the prince joke about doing the school run and his love of dance music. He also revealed how he still follows his late grandmother the Queen’s rule for making scones.

And he suggested that they’ve got an invite to singer Taylor Swift’s wedding this summer, having met her in 2024. The prince added: “I’m hoping, I’m sure there might be an invitation around.”

William also wasted no time addressing Aston Villa’s victory in the Europa League this week, the team’s first title in decades. The Prince delighted royal fans with his very enthusiastic celebrations from the stands in Istanbul.

William, who has supported Aston Villa for more than 30 years, said: “I try and remind myself that I am a football fan. I’m just going there to enjoy myself, but then I see the following day, and I realise actually a lot of people are watching you doing that.

“I got really into the moment. I’ve been following it most of my life, and so it was a huge moment for all Villa fans.”

Amanda and Jamie left the prince delighted after they presented him with some Aston Villa cupcakes in claret and blue. He said that everyone in the team feels like a “second family” and even admitted he speaks to a couple of the players regularly.

The Princess of Wales announced on March 22, 2024 that she had been diagnosed with cancer. While the specific type of cancer was not disclosed, she said it was discovered during post-operative tests following major abdominal surgery earlier in 2024.
