Football icon ‘cheated on spouse’ with beautiful ex-girlfriend of membership proprietor’s son

Football icon Andrea Pirlo was smooth and suave and he might have been away from the pitch too – as he landed the stunning ex-girlfriend of club owner’s son

On the football pitch, Andrea Pirlo was smooth and suave – the metronomic midfielder controlled just about every game he played in from the base of midfield.

Away from the pitch, Pirlo might have been just as smooth – meeting his first wife in his teenage years. Pirlo and Deborah Roversi were childhood sweethearts, tying the knot in 2001 and having two kids: Niccolò and Andrea.

However, in 2014 their turbulent separation became tabloid headlines as the Italian icon was linked with Valentina Baldini while their subsequent legal battle over Deborah’s Maintenance Allowance also commanded headlines.

Some reports, at the time, claimed Deborah had asked for €50,000 – a figure that was later denied. Defending herself, Deborah told Vanity Fair: “”My marriage was a marriage of true love.

“It was not easy to give up on myself. My love was at the same time self-denial and renunciation. It was not possible to imagine it differently with a man who was becoming a champion, to whom it was necessary to give oneself in order not to hinder his future.

“I understood my role with a spirit of participation and sacrifice and offered him every moment of my existence unconditionally.”

It’s claimed Pirlo met Valentina on a golf course. Valentina, an estate agent and former partner of Richard Grande Stevens – the son of one of the Juventus owners, had left Pirlo as “besotted”.

Deborah, meanwhile, reportedly told her close confidantes that she “does not doubt” her ex-husband’s infidelity.

In 2017, Valentina have birth to had twins, Leonardo and Tommaso, born in New York. And they would wed in 2022, during a ceremony at Pirlo’s home in Turin.

Italian football royalty made their way to the wedding, with including ex-Milan players Ignazio Abate and Massimo Ambrosini sharign posts from the day.

It was quite the weekend for Pirlo, who 24 hours before saying “I do” to Valentina had been inducted into the FIGC’s Hall Of Fame.

“It’s a great honour to be part of the Hall of Fame,” Pirlo told the FIGC’s official website.

Pirlo had been named in the Hall Of Fame in February 2020 but saw his induction postponed until 2022 due to the covid-19 pandemic, donated an object representing his playing career to the ‘Museo del Calcio’ at Coverciano before receiving his honour.

“I don’t know what I’ll bring,” the midfielder admitted. “I will choose among a shirt, a ball, or other objects that I have at home. The Museo del Calcio is a beautiful place and hopefully, there will be new trophies soon.”
