Pastors warn of ‘fallen angels’ and ‘end-times’ as Trump unleashes new UFO recordsdata
A new wave of 46 declassified US military UFO (UAP) videos released on May 22 has sparked an “end-times” storm online, with politicians and pastors claiming the footage shows “angels”
A fresh wave of US government UFO material has triggered a storm online after prominent politicians, pastors and former intelligence figures began linking the footage to biblical “end-times” prophecy.
The claims centre on a new batch of 46 declassified military videos and files about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs), which were released on Friday.
While the Pentagon has not said the clips prove alien life, the releases have fuelled speculation that the objects could be something far stranger: angels. One video, said to have been filmed on June 1, 2020, appears to show a humanoid, winged shape moving through the air, with what look like arm and leg-like protrusions.
Commentators have dubbed it the “angel” clip, with some suggesting it could show an “interdimensional being” or even a “fallen angel”. Online observers have compared it to so-called “biblically accurate” angels, including the multi-winged beings and “wheels within wheels” imagery described in the Book of Ezekiel, the Daily Mail reported.
Some people online referred to Cherubim, the multi-faced, winged angelic beings described in the Bible. Another video from the first batch of UFO files released on May 8 revealed footage of an “eight-pointed star”, darting through the darkness with uneven, shape-shifting arms.
In the days that followed, US pastors and evangelists weighed in. Pastor Josh Howerton of Lakepointe Church discussed what he said was an overlap between “Biblical cosmology” and viral UAP videos, telling listeners: “What I am trying to point out is the very possible overlap between a Biblical cosmology and some of the things you’re seeing on your timeline.
“I do think that at least a significant number of things that people think are aliens are demons. Ephesians 2 describes Satan as the prince of the powers of the air.”
Pastor Larry Ragland claimed church leaders had been briefed behind closed doors in Tennessee, describing what he said ministers were told to expect. He said: “They are preparing to tell us that they are from another dimension, that they are our creator, and that these beings, these aliens, whatever you want to call them, they were the ones that seeded us here, there is no such thing as God…”
After the Trump administration unveiled the PURSUE portal (short for Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters), Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said: “The Department of War is in lockstep with President Trump to bring unprecedented transparency regarding our government’s understanding of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena.” On the portal itself he added: “These files, hidden behind classification, have long fueled justified speculation, and it’s time the American people see it for themselves.”
Tennessee Representative Tim Burchett also reacted publicly, posting on X (formerly Twitter): “Remember the Feds told us these files didn’t exist and [Donald Trump] stood up to the deep state. The 1st drop will be big, but in comparison to what is coming they will be a drop in the bucket.
“I would say ‘Holy Crap’ is coming.” PURSUE is a new US government portal designed to act as a central, public archive for records linked to UFOs, or officially UAPs. The website is intended to systematically declassify and publish historical material, bringing together documents and media that were previously restricted.
The portal is focused on “unresolved” cases, incidents where officials say there is not enough information to make a definitive judgement about what was seen or where it came from. Rather than releasing everything at once, the programme is being rolled out in waves.
