Girl, 3, falls from window in block of flats as air ambulance lands and police swarm

A three-year-old girl plummeted from a window, sparking a significant emergency response. Emergency services dashed to the scene on Chadwick Street in Moreton after receiving reports that the girl had fallen from a first-floor window at around 11am today, May 29.
Merseyside Police, North West Ambulance Service and an air ambulance all attended the scene, with locals near to the incident telling the ECHO how several police cars and ambulances had descended on the scene following the incident.
One man described seeing around five police cars and an ambulance before hearing the air ambulance overhead, with the incident believed to have occurred at a block of flats close to the post office on Chadwick Street.
The child was rushed to hospital and is thought to have sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Merseyside Police officers continue to remain at the scene to conduct enquiries, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Meanwhile, a child, a woman and man have died after falling from a tower block. Emergency services rushed to Churchyard Row, Elephant and Castle in South London at around 7.30am on Wednesday, May 27, but all three were declared dead at the scene.
The deaths are being treated as unexpected and no other injuries were reported. The three victims are yet to be identified.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward, reports MyLondon. A local resident said: “It was like a horror scene out here. We weren’t sure what was going on. It was just police and ambulances everywhere. we weren’t sure, but by the time they got here what happened had already happened, none of the residents were really sure.”
They added: “I haven’t been able to sleep knowing and with a youngster, it’s just horrendous. Absolutely devastating for the families.”
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Met detectives are investigating after three people died following a fall from height on Wednesday, 27 May.
“At 7.29am officers, the London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance and the London Fire Brigade attended a high-rise block of flats on Churchyard Row, Elephant and Castle, following reports that people had fallen from height.
“At the scene, three people – a man, a woman and a child – were found to have sadly died, despite resuscitation attempts by first responders. Their deaths are currently being treated as unexpected.
“There were no other reported injuries. Work is underway to formally identify those who died. Their next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
“Detectives are urging any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward by calling 101, quoting CAD 1613/27MAY.”
