Luke Littler pays tribute to girlfriend Faith Millar after breaking down in ‘hardest check’

Luke Littler broke down in tears after winning the 2026 Premier League Darts final against Luke Humphries and the teenage sensation has paid an emotional tribute to his girlfriend Faith Millar’s support

Luke Littler has paid tribute to his family and girlfriend Faith Millar for their support during what he described as “one of the toughest tests” of his career. The teenage sensation broke down in tears after overcoming Luke Humphries in Thursday night’s final to clinch his second Premier League title.

The 19-year-old triumphed in a tense deciding leg, securing an 11-10 victory to join the likes of Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson as a multiple champion of the tournament. His performance was outstanding, with an average of 111.67 and 12 maximums in a thrilling final against Humphries, earning him the trophy and £350,000 in prize money.

However, Littler’s journey through the Premier League was far from smooth sailing, with the world No.1 facing hostile crowds at times following an incident with Gian van Veen in Manchester. This experience took a toll on him throughout the 17-week campaign, and his emotions came pouring out after he secured victory with a double top.

During his on-stage interview, Littler revealed that he had confided in his girlfriend Faith Millar about considering withdrawing from the competition due to the hostile reception. After avenging his 2025 final defeat to Humphries, he expressed his appreciation to his family and close circle.

Taking to Instagram, Littler posted: “This Premier League has been one of the toughest tests for me and wouldn’t have this without everyone by my side. Can’t thank you all enough for that. We did it.”

In a follow-up video message, he said: “Hi everyone, what a journey its been throughout the 17 weeks of the Premier League. We’ve come out victorious once again. I’ve got the trophy back.

“A lot of emotions there, but I’m just so happy with the win, the family being there week in, week out, the sponsors being there week in, week out. Time to celebrate and thank everyone for all your support throughout the year and may it continue. I’ll see you all next week in Copenhagen.”

Faith posted on Instagram sharing clips of Littler’s team, including Angry Ginge, singing John Denver’s ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’ at a posh hotel bar during the early hours after his triumph.

In another upload – a snap showing them sharing a kiss before Littler stepped onto the stage – Faith wrote: “So proud of you always and forever. I love you so, so much.”

During his heartfelt on-stage interview, Littler said: “It was a rollercoaster first four weeks, bottom of the table, but then the fifth night I won my first night. I had to pick myself up, some tough times.

“I think I had a 79 average in Brighton or something like that and it was tough. But I am here with the trophy.”

Getting visibly upset, he went on: “After Brighton and the incident in Manchester, I was sat at home saying to Faith: ‘I don’t want to do it anymore, just the crowd every week’. “I said to her: ‘I’m down bad’.”
