‘Eunuch Maker’ chopped off males’s penises for money and claimed medical situation was in charge
Marius Gustavson, known as the ‘Eunuch Maker’, was handed a life sentence after castrating men on livestreams for a hefty subscription bundle, and has attempted to blame his actions on body integrity dysphoria
A man who was given a life sentence for castrating men on livestream in exchange for a hefty subscription fee, has tried to attribute his actions to an unusual medical condition.
Marius Gustavson, who influenced a Cornwall surgeon to amputate his own legs, is currently serving a minimum prison term of 22 years after losing his trial in 2024. Gustavon, whose crimes are detailed in the documentary titled The Eunuch Maker, delves into the horrific castrations and dark underbelly of those allegedly consenting to have the procedure performed on themselves.
It disclosed that the ‘Eunuch Maker’ would clamp and remove male genitalia at his London flat, with the footage being streamed to paying viewers. The Norwegian man narrowly avoided capture multiple times when complications arose, but would fabricate stories claiming that the person he had castrated had injured themselves, such as the time he claimed a victim had dropped a kitchen knife on his penis.
When police searched his flat, they discovered human body parts kept as “trophies”, including testicles in takeaway containers stored in his freezer, and his own penis which he still retained four years after having it amputated.
The BBC reports that Gustavson’s legal team attempted to build a defence on the basis that he merely wanted to “put a smile on people’s faces” if they, like him, suffered from body integrity dysphoria (BID).
BID is a rare condition where a person feels as though a body part doesn’t belong to them and they want it removed.
The prosecution argued that even if such a condition did not justify Gustavson’s actions, despite BID being genuine and potentially accounting for some of Gustavson’s behaviour regarding his own body.
They said: “We suggest that diagnosis – if it exists – may explain why it is Mr Gustavson acted as he did to have his own body maimed and mutilated, but does not explain why he made a lucrative business out of mutilating others.”
Through his website, the ‘Eunuch Maker’, he flogged subscriptions where individuals could pay up to £100 for an annual package which allowed them to watch the livestreams of him castrating people.
