Paedo trainer and freak who googled ‘incest 10-year-old’ – 10 sickos uncovered by courts

Court reporter Martin Naylor has covered a number of cases so far this year involving men sentenced for child sexual exploitation offences, including a teacher of 35 years and a drug-dealing paedophile

These 10 twisted perverts have all been sentenced for their vile crimes so far in 2026 in just one part of the UK.

As the courts frequently witness, some of them insist they harbour no sexual interest in children, a claim that is consistently rejected by judges who sometimes imprison them and other times do not.

The circumstances vary from depraved conversations with actual young victims to similar disgusting exchanges with self-proclaimed paedophile hunters or undercover officers.

Here, Nottinghamshire Live court reporter Martin Naylor spotlights just a selection of the cases he has covered this year so far.

Paul Aspden

Paul Aspden taught children for 35 years including at the former Dayncourt School in Radcliffe-on-Trent, “led a double life” as a paedophile who derived sexual gratification from viewing child rape videos.

The 71-year-old, of Bingham, confessed to police he had been downloading and watching horrific child abuse images “since the early days of the internet”.

When officers visited his Charnwood Grove residence they uncovered more than 33,000 of them, including victims as young as two.

The perverted deviant’s sentencing hearing was told how he is so concerned about people discovering his decades of sick, criminal conduct, that he knows he will be forced to relocate.

Chris Brewin, his barrister, said: “He was a teacher for 35 years, teaching humanities.

“He was leading a double life and his references give a completely different side to him.” Aspden admitted guilt to three counts of creating indecent images of children and one of possessing prohibited images.

Imposing a two-year prison sentence, suspended for two years, Judge Nirmal Shant KC said: “You were concealing a double life.”

As part of the suspended sentence the judge ordered the defendant to attend 20 rehabilitation sessions.

She also handed him a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and placed him on the sex offender register for 10 years.

Phillip Smith

Veteran sex offender Phillip Smith befriended young girls on his Facebook profile and instantly began requesting explicit photographs from them.

The 52 year old “became impatient” when the three young teens did not respond to his requests immediately.

However, unknown to him, Ellie-May, Mia, and Erin were actually online paedophile hunters masquerading as young girls to trap predators like him.

Sentencing the defendant, of Dennis Avenue, Beeston, to two-and-a-half years behind bars, Recorder Ruth Coffey said: “The priority here is the protection of the public.

“If these were real children there is a real risk of serious harm and the damage for them is potentially very long lasting.

“It hurts their minds, it hurts their emotions to get messages about sex and it is very hurtful to do that and causes them damage.

“Even when they told you they were young you kept asking for pictures and you were persistent.

“The thing you do makes you dangerous to children because you keep on doing it even though you know it is wrong.”

The offending took place during the summer of 2025 and Smith pleaded guilty to charges of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and breaching the terms of his previous order.

As well as the jail term, the judge handed Smith a fresh, lifetime, sexual harm prevention order.

He will also remain on the sex offender register for the rest of his life.

Lewis Green

Drug-peddling paedophile Lewis Green conducted internet searches using phrases including “incest, underage, 10-year-old” and “child porn”.

Officers discovered what a judge described as “an Aladdin’s cave” of narcotics when they raided the 26-year-old’s family residence in West Bridgford.

Evidence revealed how he was trafficking cocaine, ecstasy, LSD and ketamine while accessing vile child abuse imagery for his own perverted pleasure.

Imposing a two-year prison sentence, suspended for two years, Judge Michael Auty KC stated: “Heaven knows why but you took it into your own mind to get on your desktop and laptop and search for what were plainly abusive images of underage girls.

“Some people think this is a victimless crime. It is not.

“Those are real children with real parents and the notion of you, or anyone else, drooling over their children being sadistically abused would turn their stomach and the stomach of any right-thinking individual.

“If that was not bad enough, when the police came to your house they discovered an Aladdin’s Cave of drugs.”

Green, of Stavely Way, Gamston, admitted to three counts of possession of indecent images of children, possession with intent to supply cocaine, ecstasy, LSD, Ketamine and being involved in the supply of magic mushrooms.

As part of the suspended sentence order, the judge instructed the defendant to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and to attend 10 rehabilitation sessions.

He also registered him on the sex offender list for 10 years and issued him a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.

Trevor Jeffrey

Married 64 year old Trevor Jeffrey was found with nearly 30,000 disturbing child abuse images on his computer.

The defendant also conducted more than 131,000 keyword searches for the repugnant material of children as young as six.

When police executed a warrant at his Hucknall home, the defendant told his wife he had looked “out of curiosity” rather than having any sexual interest in children.

But all parties at his sentencing hearing agreed that there was no evidence he intended to commit any contact offences which could have seen him actually attempt to communicate directly with any potential young victims.

Handing him a 20-month prison term, suspended for two years, Judge Michael Auty KC said: “There is a view that this is a victimless crime. That view is grossly mistaken.

“The images that people look at or choose to access for their own frankly perverted pleasure are of somebody’s children.

“Category A is always the most vile type and the notion that all right-thinking members of society can get any pleasure or sexual gratification for looking at them chills the blood frankly.”

Police carried out a warrant at Jeffrey’s address in Vedonis Park on January 8, 2025.

He admitted to three counts of making indecent images of children and one count of possession of prohibited images of children.

As part of the suspended sentence hearing, the judge instructed the defendant to complete 120 hours of unpaid work and to attend up to 40 rehabilitation sessions.

He also registered him on the sex offender list for 10 years and issued him a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.

Chris Webber

University graduate Chris Webber discussed having sex with a six year old girl with a fellow paedophile.

The 36 year old also distributed horrific images of young victims being abused by adults during his spree of offending.

Police discovered nearly 3,000 such pictures and videos which were amassed over years when they raided his home and confiscated his devices.

And detectives also found that the defendant, who failed in his ambition to join the armed forces as a teenager, made internet searches using terms such as “jailbait” and “incest”.

Imposing a two-year prison sentence, suspended for two years, Judge Nirmal Shant KC stated: “This is a very unusual and unique case and an unusual feature is that the distribution took place in 2015 more than 10 years ago.

“The images were also not uploaded to a public forum but to others who clearly shared your mindset at the time. The second batch of offending, the possession of the offences, is more than four years ago.”

Webber, of Alvenor Street, admitted guilt to three counts of possession of indecent images, one count of possessing extreme pornography and three counts of distribution of indecent images of children.

As part of the suspended sentence, the judge directed the defendant to complete 150 hours unpaid work and to attend 35 rehabilitation sessions.

She also imposed a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and placed him on the sex offender register for 10 years.

Neil Wilson

Paedophile Neil Wilson was amongst several like-minded perverts who exploited a 12 year old girl for his own sexual gratification.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how the 46 year old requested “a special video” from the victim and instructed her to address him as “Daddy”.

While she ignored him and refused to comply with his demands, the girl did transmit such vile images to other sex offenders.

Nevertheless, the defendant did participate in a similar online conversation with a second girl who proved to be an undercover police officer masquerading as a 13 year old. Imposing a 15-year sentence on what was his 46th birthday, Judge Steve Coupland said: “The effect of what you and others did to that girl was catastrophic.

“She was left withdrawn, afraid to go out without her mother and her confidence was destroyed. It is plain to me you are sexually interested in children and it is plain to me you continued to seek young girls for sexual gratification.

“You turn 46 today and I accept that the background to this was you being depressed and drinking heavily. But that is no excuse for what you did.”

Wilson, of Osmaston Walk, Mansfield, pleaded guilty to charges of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, attempting to cause or incite a girl under the age of under 13 to engage in sexual activity, three counts of making indecent images of children and one count of possession of extreme pornography.

He has one previous conviction for attempting to meet a girl under the age of 16 following sexual grooming.

The 15-year sentence comprises eight years custody plus a seven-year extended licence.

This means he will not be eligible to apply for parole until two-thirds of the way through the custodial element.

Wilson will remain on the sex offender register for life and was given a lifetime sexual harm prevention order.

Donald Randle

Depraved pensioner Donal Randle was caught when his carer discovered an image of a very young child being sexually abused on his computer screen. That individual was checking on the frail 70 year old at his Clifton residence when she spotted the image.

She depicted the defendant as ‘fumbling around’ when he realised what she had seen at his property, frantically trying to turn the monitor off.

He was only spared an immediate prison sentence because if he were sent to jail “he wouldn’t survive a week” due to his severe health conditions.

Delivering him an 18-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, Judge Stuart Rafferty KC said: “You should be utterly ashamed of yourself.

“Just for one moment stop pretending. Stop pretending you did not download this material. Stop pretending you have not looked at it. Stop pretending you did not get satisfaction from it of the sexual kind.

“Stop feeling sorry for yourself and instead for one moment for the children in these images and videos whose lives have been destroyed.

“Someone having sex with a child aged 18 months to two years and other children being abused in the most disgusting way.

“Every time a child is exposed to someone like you drooling over it their dignity has been ripped open a little more.

“They will never have a happy life, never have a normal life and some of them may never reach their teenage years because when they do the people who traffic them will dispense of them.

“And people like you let this industry continue. If I could send you to prison believe me I would because every single one of those children deserve that. But you are now so infirm that if I send you to prison you would not last one week and justice can’t have that on its conscience.”

Randle admitted to three counts of possessing indecent images of children and has no prior convictions. Alongside the suspended sentence order, the judge imposed a five-year sexual harm prevention order and registered him as a sex offender, also for five years.

Anna Jones, defending, said: “His best mitigation is his guilty pleas.”

Anthony O’Leary

Former prison worker Anthony O’Leary covertly accumulated more than 1,000 naked photographs of a teenage victim showering.

The 65-year-old also boasted online about how aroused he became viewing the images to what he believed was a fellow sexual deviant. The defendant had also been deriving sexual gratification from watching appalling child abuse images on the internet for over a decade.

Like many who are apprehended by police he subsequently claimed he had no sexual interest in children whatsoever.

And in a victim impact statement, the female in the 1,000-plus nude pictures he was discovered with courageously said: “My life may have been altered but I will not have my dignity depraved by someone’s actions.”

Imposing an 18-month sentence on O’Leary, suspended for two years, Judge Stuart Rafferty said: “I have read your presentence report in which you protest not having a sexual interest (in children).

“That is simply a fairytale.

“There were 55 (category A) who were being savagely raped and sexually assaulted, 95 (category B) children who had you drooling over them and 133 (category C) children no doubt scantily-clad.

“Then there was the (main victim) of whom you had 1,150 photos.

“If that is not an obsession with young children I don’t know what is.

“The real fact here is that you only feel sorry for yourself because you got caught otherwise this would have gone on and on.”

O’Leary, formerly of Collier Avenue, Mansfield Woodhouse, admitted guilt to charges including possession of indecent images of children, possession of extreme pornography and possession of prohibited images of children.

Matt Hayes, mitigating, said: “Because of this he has lost everything, he has no contact with anyone now except his sister.

“He had an ex-partner who did support him until January of this year but now he lives alone in a motorhome on a caravan site.”

As part of the suspended sentence, the judge ordered the defendant to attend 35 rehabilitation sessions, placed him on the sex offender register for 10 years and handed him a five-year sexual harm prevention order.

Lawrence Johns

Predator Lawrence Johns befriended a 14 year old girl online, invited her to come and visit him in the city and asked her “‘are you naughty?”

The 34 year old also messaged the teenager “will you let me undress you?” and asking what colour underwear she wore. However, unbeknown to him, “Ruby” was actually a group of self-proclaimed paedophile hunters who tipped off the police about his actions, leading to his arrest.

Despite receiving a caution for a similar offence in 2017, he continues to insist that he has no sexual interest in children.

Handing down an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, Judge Michael Auty KC said: “You have been sensible enough to plead guilty but unfortunately we are in a situation where you have done this once before about eight years ago.

“But the practical reality is were I to send you to prison today, which you richly deserve as the most vulnerable in society are children who need to be protected from people like you who would commit sexual offences given the chance, you would be in the front door and out the back door in a couple of weeks and the chance to rehabilitate you would be gone.

“But this will be your last chance, the next time, if there is one, nothing will save you.”

Johns, of Lloyd Street, Sherwood, admitted to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

As part of the suspended sentence order, the judge ordered the defendant to attend 30 rehabilitation sessions with the probation service. He also placed him on the sex offender register for 10 years and prohibited him from working with children.

Benjamin Ramsey

Nottingham sex offender Benjamin Ramsey conducted an internet search for the “country with the lowest age of consent” amidst his wave of criminal activity.

Police discovered over 300 disturbing abuse images of children as young as six when they confiscated a computer belonging to the 25 year old from Bulwell. In one video, detectives were forced to watch a young intoxicated girl being sick as she was assaulted by an adult.

Defending himself, the 25 year old from Bulwell informed the hearing that he has been viewing pornography since he was merely 10 years old.

He stated: “It was not until this happened that I realised I had an addiction to porn. I have been watching it since the age of 10 and I think this has escalated.”

After his arrest and initially responding with “no comment” to the questions posed, Ramsey, of Longford Crescent, admitted guilt to three counts of making indecent images of children and one count of possession of a prohibited image of a child.

Judge Michael Auty KC sentenced him to a 12-month prison term, suspended for two years, along with a 26-day accredited treatment programme, 12 rehabilitation sessions and 150 hours of unpaid work.

He also registered him on the sex offender list for 10 years and issued him a seven-year sexual harm prevention order.
