Multiple pedestrians injured as automobile ploughs into MFA Bowl bowling alley
Three pedestrians were injured, none seriously, after a car crashed through the side of MFA Bowl on Derby Road, Ilkeston, as a 21-year-old man from Ilkeston has been charged

A man has been charged with multiple offences following a car crashing into a bowling alley. Three pedestrians were injured in the incident, which occurred on Derby Road, Ilkeston, at the junction of Oakwell Drive, just before 5pm, on Friday (June 12), but thankfully none sustained serious injuries.
Police were called to the scene after a car crashed through the side of MFA Bowl following a collision with another vehicle.
In an update, Derbyshire police have charged Callum Thompson, from Ilkeston, with criminal damage, recklessly endangering life, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, assault and causing serious injury by dangerous driving following the collision.
The 21-year-old has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Derby Magistrates’ Court on Monday (June 15), reports Derbyshire Live.
Dramatic footage from the scene revealed the extent of the damage after the car ploughed through the side of the venue.
Management at MFA Bowl have announced that the site will remain closed following the crash – something they described as “beyond our control”.
In a statement released on social media, they said: “Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be closed until further notice. Please know we will be back open once we’re allowed!”.
“A huge thank you to all the emergency services involved yesterday! We are extremely grateful those injured only suffered minor injuries.
“Thank you all for the supportive comments and love it means the world to the team!”.
