Miss BumBum makes Lionel Messi ‘greater and bolder’ promise if Argentina win World Cup
Miss BumBum Suzy Cortez is unwavering in her belief that Lionel Messi and Argentina will go back-to-back at the World Cup.
Messi fulfilled his ultimate dream in Qatar four years ago, becoming the first Argentine since Diego Maradona to lift football’s most coveted trophy. And the 38-year-old marvel got off to the perfect start in North America, netting a hat-trick against Algeria in a 3-0 victory.
One person who might not have been surprised by the Inter Miami forward’s lighting-fast start was Argentina superfan Suzy, who exclusively told Daily Star Sport: “As a world champion, he can play with more freedom, experience, and confidence!”

She added: “I truly believe Argentina will have a strong campaign and compete for back-to-back World Cup titles.”
If Messi is to win a second World Cup, Suzy already has big plans in store. “I can guarantee that I will create a tribute worthy of such a historic moment,” she said.
“I have already gotten tattoos to celebrate Messi’s achievements, but this time I want to do something even bigger and more memorable. I’m planning new tattoos, and I believe it will be a tribute that will surprise and shock the world!”
It wouldn’t be the first time Suzy has paid tribute to her footballing hero, and she has almost become as famous for her devotion to Messi as she has for her modelling career.
Back in 2019, the two-time Miss BumBum winner had Messi’s name and shirt number tattooed on her most famous body part. Then, after Argentina’s World Cup triumph in 2022, she celebrated by getting Messi’s signature tattooed in an intimate area.
Speaking to Daily Star Sport at the time, she said: “My promise is to get a super tattoo and I’m going to celebrate the title in the city of Rosario where Messi was born!”
She also has a tattoo of Messi’s face just above her private parts. But tattoos aren’t the only thing Suzy has planned for the tournament.
“I’m also preparing special activities and a few surprises for Argentina’s matches in the US. Those who follow me know that I live football with passion, creativity, and a great sense of humour!”
Suzy isn’t quite stateside yet, but she revealed she’ll be making the journey for the knockout stages where she’ll be appearing on TV shows and in “special media activities”.
Despite being born in Brazil, Suzy has spent much of her life abroad and even holds British citizenship. Yet it is Argentina, rather than her country of birth, that will have her backing this summer.
“I have always identified more with Argentine football, the passion of its fans and the history of the national team. I am also a huge admirer of Lionel Messi and have followed his career for many years.
“I also have a special affection for countries such as Mexico, England and Spain, places where I have lived meaningful experiences and built important connections.
“But during this World Cup, my heart will be with Argentina. And I truly believe we will see Argentina win its fourth World Cup title.” Suzy has promised her “most creative and surprising coverage yet” for the World Cup.
“In addition to the traditional customised football jerseys for each Argentina match, I’m also bringing an exclusive collection of bodysuits, jackets, sportswear sets, themed dresses, accessories, flags, scarves and even bikinis inspired by the colours and identity of the national teams I support.
“I want every look to tell a story and reflect the energy of each match. I’m bringing three suitcases filled exclusively with outfits and accessories for the World Cup in the United States!”
She added: “Without a doubt, this will be my boldest, most creative and most memorable World Cup coverage ever.”
Argentina are back in action on Monday, as Lionel Scaloni’s side clash with Austria at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. A win would see the defending champions qualify for the knockout stages. And, for Suzy, one step closer to an appointment at a tattoo studio.
