Donald Trump, 80, accused of ‘very unhealthy’ relationship with ‘glamorous’ aide, 34

Natalie Harp, 34, has been a constant in Donald Trump’s orbit since she joined his team in 2022 without an official role, but her estranged brother Preston Harp has spoken out, calling her bond with the president “very unhealthy”

White House aide Natalie Harp’s obsession with Donald Trump has reached such alarming levels that her own sibling has decided to speak out.

Preston Harp, 38, the alienated brother of Trump’s preferred personal aide, slammed the 80-year-old president and his uncomfortably intimate connection with Preston’s 34-year-old sister. Speaking to The Daily Mail, Preston branded Trump a “national embarrassment” and described his sister’s association with him as “very unhealthy. “She’s just like his fan club,” Preston said.

Harp has remained a fixture in Trump’s circle since joining his team in 2022 without any formal position. A former presenter at the right-wing broadcaster OAN, Harp initially encountered Trump when she expressed gratitude for his signing of the Right to Try Act in 2019, which she claimed enabled her to access experimental treatment for her bone cancer. The Washington Post has questioned this assertion.

Harp has subsequently climbed the hierarchy to become Trump’s favoured personal aide, her dedication to the president growing so intense that it sparked alarm amongst the Secret Service.

She has earned the moniker the “human printer” because she perpetually shadows Trump with a portable printer, providing hard copies of emails, news articles, and other documents for his perusal rather than requiring the 80-year-old president to view them digitally.

According to Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump, a new book by New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, Harp would leave romantic letters for Trump in his “personal spaces” prior to joining the White House staff. One allegedly read, “You are all that matters to me.”

Preston admitted he was also taken aback to learn his sister was working for Trump and only found out after a mate showed him a Daily Mail article from March 2023 about Trump’s “glamorous new assistant.”

“And I had no idea,” Preston told the outlet. “And so it just kind of caused some cognitive dissonance. I don’t understand why my sister, or anyone, could want to work for Trump.”

Preston, who lives in Nicaragua and is described by the Mail as a “long-haired hippie,” said he and his sister are complete opposites. Growing up, Natalie was closer to their “extremely conservative” and “deeply religious” mother, while Preston shared a stronger bond with their father, who died by suicide in July 2020.

When approached for comment, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said: “Natalie Harp is one of the most loyal and hardest working aides on President Trump’s team.”
