Man ‘stabbed within the head’ in Wetherspoons assault as police launch CCTV picture

A man has reportedly been stabbed in the head inside a Wetherspoon pub in Sheffield. Police were called to the Bankers Draft Pub in Sheffield city centre on June 21 at 9.53pm following the attack.
A CCTV image of a man officers would like to trace has now been issued. The image shows a man wearing dark shorts and a brown shirt as he’s drying his hands in the toilets.
Police are still working to identify the individual and have asked anyone who recognises him to come forward. The pub was sealed off following the incident, a spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said.
A statement from the force reads: “We are releasing CCTV images of a man we would like to speak to in connection with an assault in a Sheffield pub.
“It is reported that on 21 June at 9.53 pm, a man was stabbed in the head as he was sat in the Bankers Draft Pub. Enquiries are ongoing but officers are keen to identify the man in the images as they may be able to assist with enquiries.”
“Do you recognise him?” Information can be reported by calling 101 and quoting incident number 1088 of June 21.
