Rory McIlroy’s ex catches consideration of US Open winner’s ‘smoke present’ spouse with Wimbledon outfit
Rory McIlroy’s ex caught attention after returning to Wimbledon in an eye-catching outfit
Golf icon Rory McIlroy is a known tennis fan and has attended Wimbledon on several occasions. Not long after he turned heads with his sartorial choices at the All England Club, his former fiancée Caroline Wozniacki made waves with her outfit.
Over a decade has passed since McIlroy and Wozniacki were set to walk down the aisle. However, the six-time major winner called off the wedding in May 2014.
Both sports stars have since moved on and seem blissfully married to their respective partners. Wozniacki, who has been providing US commentary at SW19, has certainly appeared content as she posed for photos back at Wimbledon.

The Danish star’s latest ensemble earned her praise for its chic appeal. Wozniacki, 35, turned heads in a light blue pantsuit, her hair casually tied back in a ponytail, ready to enjoy a day of top-tier tennis action.
Wozniacki shared a series of photos showcasing her outfit, captioning them: “We are getting to the business end of the tournament! Pantsuit for the win.”
“Style on point,” commented one admirer. Meanwhile, Jena Sims, wife of McIlroy’s PGA Tour rival Brooks Koepka, chimed in to tell the blonde stunner she was: “SERVING.”
Golf fans recently gushed over Sims’ outfits on social media after two-time US Open champion Koepka captioned a picture of his wife: “Friendly reminder my wife is a smoke show @jenamsims.”
Former British No. 1 Heather Watson joined in the praise, simply commenting: “Slayyyyy.” Another smitten fan remarked: “The best outfit, beautiful Caro. Looking absolutely gorgeous.”
The former Australian Open champion reached the fourth round of Wimbledon on six occasions. However, she never managed to clinch the title, making it the only Grand Slam at which she failed to reach the quarter-finals.
McIlroy, 37, and Wozniacki seemed destined to become a sporting power couple during their three-year relationship. However, the partnership was abruptly ended when McIlroy had second thoughts.
“The problem is mine,” McIlroy confessed in a statement explaining why the engagement was called off. “The wedding invitations issued at the weekend made me realise that I wasn’t ready for all that marriage entails. I wish Caroline all the happiness she deserves and thank her for the great times we’ve had.”
He has since found love with Erica Stoll, whom he wed in April 2017 and the couple have a daughter together. The pair have faced their own challenges after reports emerged in May 2024 that McIlroy filed for divorce before reconciling.
Shortly before McIlroy’s 2017 nuptials, Wozniacki revealed she was dating former NBA player David Lee. The couple tied the knot in 2019 and have three children together, two sons and a daughter.
McIlroy was spotted at Wimbledon last week. The golf star donned his green Masters jacket at the London major, making a fashion statement of his own, albeit for different reasons.
