One England star isn’t the only winner in his family with his brother being engaged to a scorching hot Love Island star.

Wil Anderson is currently in the USA, cheering on his brother Elliot Anderson, along with his fiancée, Uma Jammeh. Manchester City’s new record signing has been a revelation for the Three Lions this summer. Since Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel handed him his debut last September, Elliot has become the beating heart of England’s midfield.

His brother Wil has also made headlines after his romance with Jammeh famously blossomed on the hit reality show in 2024. After entering the villa, he soon struck up a connection with Jammeh, who is a model.

Wil was eventually given the boot from the show on day 37, with Reuben Collins opting to try and romance Jammeh. But their blooming love was no match for such an obstacle.

Wil and Jammeh became engaged last year. He shared on Instagram: “I liked it, so I put a ring on it,” alongside a photo of Uma wearing a green dress.

He is also a boxer for Misfits promotion and was on the losing end in his debut fight against Jordan Banjo but has since pulled off a knock-out victory over Jake Cornish in March.

Taking time away from the squared circle, Wil and Jammeh have spent the summer in America as they’ve cheered on Elliot and England to the World Cup semi-finals. It’s been a devastating time for the Elliot brothers, however, after they lost their mother, Helen, in April after a short illness.

Taking to Instagram after their mum had passed, Wil wrote: “Words can’t describe this feeling. You didn’t deserve this. All I ever wanted was to make you proud. You were my biggest supporter and my strongest motivation.

“You gave everything for our family and we were just ready to return the favour. You fought the toughest fight of them all and not once did it show, bowing out with grace surrounded by your boys.

“You have shown me everything I know. Thank you for everything you have done for this family, none of us would have got this far without you. Keep watching me Mum I have more to show you. Everything is for you. You will live with me forever Mum, I love you.”

Jammeh commented on the post. She said: “Rest in peace queen Helen, she is forever next to you holding your hand along the way. I love you so much.”

Earlier this month, City announced that they had reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest for the transfer of Anderson. The fee is reportedly a record-breaking £116million, making him the most expensive British player in history.

He has been backing that fee up with his performances at the World Cup. Speaking after the quarter-final against Norway, which England won 2-1, he confessed that it took a huge effort to emerge victorious.

“It was so tough. So tough,” said Anderson. “I was cramping up a few times [in extra time]. But the fighting spirit the lads have is amazing to be part of. The fans should be proud of the amount of fight and determination we showed.”
