Victoria Beckham showed subtle signs of a smile as England broke the deadlock in the huge World Cup Semi-final game against Argentina.

The Spice Girls star, who was sat next to her husband and England legend David Beckham, was seen struggling to contain her excitement after Antony Gordon scored in Atlanta, claims a leading body language expert.

Victoria has been seen throughout the tournament with her lips stretched and curled upwards in her “textbook smile”, says celebrity psychic and body language expert Inbaal Honigman.

However, the emotions shown by the Beckham’s should Victoria is “absolutely not grumpy” – well until the Argentinian equalized and then took the lead to make it 1-2.

Speaking on behalf of Covers.com, Inbaal exclusively told us: “While David Beckham’s smile is unmistakable throughout the 2026 World Cup – lips stretched and curled upwards, eyes narrowed and cheeks rounded, a textbook smile, Victoria’s enigmatic facial expression has been the subject of much scrutiny, so let’s analyse it.

“During the Argentina – England game in Atlanta, Victoria is seen by her husband’s side. Her lips are neutral, her forehead is flat, there’s no specific expression to identify. So is this the thunderous face of annoyance, or is it just Victoria’s Resting Wag Face?

“Eagle eyed viewers will identify, that even though Victoria’s lips don’t curl up at the ends, they are a bit stretched, indicating a secret, flat little smile.

“It’s subtle, the merest whisper of a smile, but it is there. Similarly, the apples of her cheeks appear to pop, which is another indication of a smile. Tiny but present.

“The Beckham matriarch hasn’t been grumpy throughout the World Cup, she’s just kept her smiles super-subtle and elegant. In fact, even when celebrating the Gordon goal, a visibly thrilled Victoria jumps from her seat but keeps her lips tightly shut.

“It would appear to be a choice, the fashionista wants to appear a certain way in her World Cup photos, but she’s absolutely not grumpy.”

England fans were joyous as Anthony Gordon put the Three Lions ahead in their World Cup semi-final just 10 minutes into the second half – but the joy quickly turned to nerves as Argentina upped the ante with their attack.
