A deal that could be perfect for the summer holidays has emerged that could save parents a chunk of cash. A “sturdy” sand and water pit adored by children and dogs for keeping cool during hot weather can be nabbed for as little as £2.10.
The Chad Valley Sand and Water Pit normally retails for £28, but a clever double discount means it can be grabbed for a tiny fraction of the original price. The initial saving comes through Argos, where a third has been slashed off, bringing the cost down to £18. However, there’s a method to trim another £15+ from the bill.

Another continued: “Bought this for my dog as it’s much more sturdy than the dog specific ones and can take his digging. It’s a good size for my Labrador to splash around in and I’ve been using the second shell to keep cool during the heatwave. Everyone is happy and I’d recommend.”

Despite the glowing reviews, a handful of customers did highlight some downsides, including one who noted: “I bought this to provide a digging pit for my dog. It’s a good size and can hold plenty of sand. However, it’s quite flimsy and probably wouldn’t withstand much punishment.”
