Two-year-old boy overdoses on cocaine at Airbnb as cops arrest man

A toddler overdosed on cocaine by accident while on holiday whilst his mother was in the shower.
The two-year-old tot survived overdosing on the class A drug, but police have since arrested the man who was supposed to be watching him while his mother was in the bathroom. Alexander T. Moles, 39, was watching over the unnamed boy and his siblings as the family were planning to leave the Airbnb where they had been staying while on holiday.
The mum then came out the shower to find the baby looking sleepy and struggling to breathe and they rushed him to hospital in Jersey Shore, America.
The pair called 911 and told operators they thought he had accidentally taken “pain killers”, and when he arrived at the hospital, the boy was saved thanks to a Naloxone nasal spray — or Narcan — which is used to treat overdoses.
Further tests then were done and the toddler later tested positive for cocaine at the Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional.

Police were called and attended the property they had left and found a pill, plus tinfoil packets labelled “tapentadol hydrochloride,” and a clear plastic bag containing a white, powdery substance, and several short plastic straws.
Tapentadol hydrochloride is a strong prescription pain medication used to treat chronic or nerve pains.

Authorities said Moles was staying at the property with the woman alongside her multiple children, including the victim. He was then arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, cocaine possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of prescription drugs.
He was arrested and taken into police custody but later released on bail and is due before a court in the coming weeks. The investigation is ongoing.
