Truth behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez wedding ceremony as pair flaunt diamond rings

Cristiano Ronaldo fans have gone into overdrive after speculation emerged that the Portugal legend has married his long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez.
The football icon, 42, sparked the rumours when he was spotted boarding a yacht in Majorca flaunting a giant diamond ring on his finger, similar to the one he gave Georgina, 32, when they got engaged a year ago.
Talk soared as the two were spotted together flashing their diamond rings before Georgina, mum to three of Ronaldo’s six children, posted a picture to her 76.5million Instagram followers of the two holding hands on his luxury private jet, showing off their glistening rings and watches.
Local press reported that the couple would tie the knot on Saturday but it was claimed by one TV host that they will wed at the Quinta de Regaleira estate in Sintra, Portugal, but it appears to be open to the public this weekend.
According to an alleged invite, they planned to marry on Saturday at Quinta da Regaleira and guests were reportedly instructed to wear black attire. However, Spanish outlet HOLA! has reported the wedding will categorically not take place this weekend.
Ronaldo previously said that he and Georgina planned to marry after the World Cup, which Portugal exiting at the hands of eventual winners Spain following a late Mikel Merino goal.
He told Piers Morgan in an interview: “I hope to arrive at my wedding with the champion’s trophy,” before saying that Georgina was the only woman he had dated that he had wanted to settle down with.
Adding: “I’m going to marry her because I believe it’s the right time. Not just because she’s the mother of my children — but because she’s the person I love most.”
Ronaldo proposed to Georgina in August last year, almost 10 years after they first met in 2016 at a Gucci store in Madrid, where she was working as a sales assistant.
Georgina shared the news on Instagram along with a picture of the enormous ring that Ronaldo shelled out for, she wrote: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”
The question of marriage has previously come up to Ronaldo and he said it would happen when they get “that click”.
“It could be in a year or it could be in six months or it could be in a month. I’m 1,000 per cent sure that it’ll happen.”
