BREAKING Beloved comic Jimmy Cricket lifeless after ‘brief sickness’ – full household assertion

Comedian Jimmy Cricket has passed away after a short illness. The 80-year-old’s family told fans of the sad news on his Facebook page.
The statement read: “Our beloved Jimmy has passed away this morning after a short illness. He spent his last few days surrounded by his family, love, laughter and songs.
“Jimmy brought so much laughter and happiness to countless audiences in his career over the years. Whether on stage, screen or radio, or if you met him in person as well. But that was nothing to the happiness he gave to his family. A devoted husband to May for fifty two years.

“A wonderful dad to his four children and very silly grandad indeed to his four grandchildren. He was our greatest champion and loved us all loudly. He also just loved people and he absolutely loved being a stand up comedian. What a life he lived.
“Forever our clown, he was cracking jokes to the wonderful NHS staff and to us all, right until the end. His courage, dignity and positivity through all he endured was inspirational. A force for joy, we are just all very sad that the world is a far less sillier place today.
“We were going to end by using his famous catchphrase and say, ‘There’s no More’. But Jimmy was a man of great faith and a Papal Knight of the Catholic Church. He believed that death is not the end and was looking forward to eternity, so really…And there’s more.”
Numerous heartbroken fans have flocked to the comic’s social media page to share their thoughts and prayers with Cricket’s family.

One social media user stated: “I was honoured to know him and even moreso to have watched him be so funny for decades and decades. What a trooper and a champ and a blessing to so many. Best foot forward Jimmy, left or right, and thank you for everything. Bless his wonderful family x.”
The comic’s death comes prior to the release of the a joke book he was penning containing numerous unreleased jokes the Northern Irish comedian wrote during his career.
Titled “200 Monday Morning Jokes” and the plan is for it to be released in time for Christmas 2026. It is Cricket had taken a break from writing the book due to health issues.
Whilst he was still alive the beloved comic stated he was working on the book to “to cheer those on their first day back at work after the weekend break”.
Cricket was well-known for his clean, family-friendly stand-up routines. The comedy legend enjoyed a successful television and radio career during his life. The comic featured on his BBC and ITV series and also featured in Royal Variety Shows, The Good Old Days, The Krankies Klub.
The star was originally from Cookstown, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland and moved to Lancashire during his later life. During his career Cricket was given his own show on named “And There’s More” titled after his best known catchphrase.
