Nudists to strip off for August financial institution vacation enjoyable at large UK bare competition

Fireworks, live music and light shows are the bare minimum nudists can expect when a massive annual naked festival takes place later this month.
Nudists are expected to travel far and wide for the annual event which is slated to bring some fun to the August bank holiday weekend in Newcastle.
Members of the Tyneside & District Naturist Organisation (TANDO) – the only naturist club in Northumberland – are putting on Tando Fest 2026, which will take place on August 29 and 30.
The event is a two day extravaganza, expected to be held in the Heddon on the Wall area – although the exact specifics on the area have been kept on a “need to know” basis for those attending.
One naturist, who did not want to be named said: “They will give a rough idea of the area, and many use the ‘What Three Words’ app, which gives an approximate area to those specifically searching for the three words they have been given.

“It is not secret, but it is a way of sharing information with those who are actually interested means there’s less chance of people wanting to be silly or take the mick, turn up.
“There’s always a lot of stigma with naturist groups, but we have to watch out for members. We should be able to go about our lives safely and without judgement and harassment.”
The event will include a firework and light display at night.

Nudists will be able to camp out in the area, with live music and DJ sets slated throughout.
Organisers say there will also be a tombola, food stalls and even a mindfullness area and wellbeing tent for those who need a break from the frolics.
“It will be a really lovely event,” one said. “Not wild and not a free for all but something for everyone and a chance for people to really let their hair down and have a lovely time around likeminded people in safety and comfort.”
