Former Man Utd star nonetheless solely 28 has lengthy record of Premier League golf equipment eager on switch

Former Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe has a whole host of clubs keen on signing him this summer after leaving Burnley as a free agent.

The 28-year-old is still without a team after leaving Turf Moor following their relegation from the Premier League.

Tuanzebe impressed while representing DR Congo during their recent World Cup campaign, where they were knocked out of the competition by England in the tournament’s opening knockout round.

The ex-United centre-back, who progressed through the club’s youth system, featured in all four matches for his nation.

Those eye-catching performances have sparked interest from Premier League sides Everton and Brentford, while also drawing attention from teams in the Saudi Professional League.

According to the Daily Mail, Tuanzebe is prepared for his next venture after departing the Clarets earlier this summer.

David Moyes’ outfit are seeking to bolster their defensive options ahead of the forthcoming season, with Tuanzebe also capable of operating at right-back.

It remains unclear which Saudi Pro League sides are considering a swoop for the former United player, with talkSPORT also reporting he is weighing up his alternatives.

The centre-back made 16 outings for Burnley last term, netting once but proving unable to keep the Clarets in the top flight.

Tuanzebe turned out 37 times for United following his breakthrough in 2016-17, experiencing loan spells at Aston Villa, Napoli and Stoke City before departing the club on a permanent basis in 2023.

He spent two years at Ipswich Town, aiding them in their successful promotion from the Championship in the 2023-24 season, followed by a single season in the Premier League.

Tuanzebe departed the club after their demotion from the top-flight, signing a one-year contract with Burnley last summer.

However, following just one season at Turf Moor, he’s now searching for a new club.
