Daniel Kinahan’s wife lived a lavish lifestyle in Dubai, but she has now been left high and dry after her husband was extradited to Ireland accused of being the head of a global drugs cartel.

Mother-of-five Caoimhe Robinson enjoys a sun-kissed, glitzy life the family’s seven-bedroom home in the city’s Palm Jumeirah resort. She also owns six plush properties, including a villa in the ultra-exclusive Emirates Hills where Petra Ecclestone is a neighbour.

For years, she and her suspected cartel kingpin husband were the ultimate power couple of the Dubai social scene. But it is said the “bubble” she and other Kinahan gangster molls have been living in has now burst after the bombshell extradition.

Caoimhe has enjoyed her sun-kissed, glitzy Dubai life which is said to have been funded by mob money from a cartel accused of controlling about a third of Europe’s cocaine supply.

Kinahan fled to Dubai in 2016 after an attempt on his life at the Regency Hotel in Dublin. There, he and Caoimhe enjoyed a gilded lifestyle which included £220 tasting menus and £500 Beluga caviar.

Their glittering wedding at the seven-star Burj Al Arab hotel in 2017 was attended by the big wigs of other international trafficking gangs and even heavyweight boxing champ Tyson Fury.

The hotel’s eye-wateringly expensive Michelin-starred restaurant reportedly became a favourite haunt of Caoimhe and Kinahan and they were the ultimate power couple of the Dubai social scene.

Leaked records reported by the Consortium of Investigative Journalists (CIJ) show she has been buying and selling property in Dubai since 2017, including a villa bought for about €2.1m.

In addition, she was listed as the joint owner, with her husband, of four Dubai properties in 2022. But Caoimhe, from Darndale in north Dublin, no longer has a home in Ireland and didn’t even return home for her mum’s funeral in 2020.

Her crime links started long before joining the Kinahan clan as her previous gangster husband Mika ‘The Panda’ Kelly was gunned down in September 2011 by the Real IRA.

Following Kelly’s murder she maintained links to those involved in organised crime and is reported to have met Kinahan during a trip to Spain in 2014.

A former detective with the Criminal Assets Bureau told The Sun: “The two main men in her life have been involved in organised crime for years and maybe this is something she’s attracted to?”

And it is the Criminal Assets Bureau which could ultimately bring down her lavish lifestyle. Kinahan’s extradition follows the arrested and prosecution of Sean McGovern, the first cartel member to be extradited from Dubai to Dublin last year.

Said to have been Kinahan’s right-hand man, he was convicted and is now serving 24 years in prison. His long-term partner Anita Freeman has ditched her luxury lifestyle in Dubai to return to Ireland. In 2016, the ex-council house they shared in Dublin was seized.

If Caoimhe was to bring the family home and invest in property in Ireland, they will most likely have to answer to the Bureau. It remains to be seen if she returns to Ireland to support her man in court.
