BREAKING Woman ‘raped on clifftop’ at UK nature reserve as police launch manhunt for suspect

A manhunt has been sparked after a woman was allegedly raped at a nature reserve on a clifftop on Wednesday night.

Police say the incident reportedly took place at around 9.15pm in Woodland Walk, above Boscombe beach in Bournemouth. They were then alerted to the alleged incident a few hours later at 12.15am on Thursday morning.

A cordon has been put in place in the area while crime scene investigators operate at the site. No arrests have yet been made and police are yet to release a description of the suspect. A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We received a report at 12.16am that a woman aged in her 40s was raped in the Boscombe area of Bournemouth.

“The incident is reported to have occurred approximately three hours earlier.

“A cordon is in place in Woodland Walk to allow for an examination of the scene to be carried out.

“Detailed enquiries are underway into the incident led by detectives and support is being provided to the victim. No arrests have been made at this time.”
