Is Lloyds banking app down? UK financial institution clients ‘can’t even entry funds’ in main outage

Customers of a major UK bank have been left frustrated as it appears the banking giants smartphone app is currently experiencing an outrage.
Hundreds of customers Lloyds Bank have reported frustration over being hit with an error message with some users venting on social media that they “can’t even access my funds”.
Over 2700 customers have reported problems with accessing Lloyds today (August 26), according outage reporting site Downdetector.
When accessing the app, customers are seeing this message: “Sorry, we’re having a few technical problems. Logging in again may fix the issue, but if this doesn’t help, please try again later. (500)”

However, Lloyds customers are not the only ones hit as
reports that customers are reporting problems using their app.
As of 1:45pm, around 737 people had reported issues accessing the Halifax app. It comes after The banks Lloyds announced that it would begin to phase out the Halifax brand.
The bank and its customers will change to Lloyds with current Halifax account holders already being asked to change banking apps ahead of the rebrand.
