Four knifed in midnight resort mass stabbing horror as 100 friends watch violence erupt

A trio of men are in custody following a violent incident that left four people injured at an Essex hotel event. Emergency services raced to the venue on Stifford Clays Road in North Stifford just before midnight on Saturday after receiving reports of multiple stabbings.

On arrival, Essex Police officers discovered four people were injured at the scene, though officials have not released further details regarding the severity of their wounds.

Two men from Hackney, aged 24 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. A third suspect, a 21-year-old man from Enfield, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm without intent. All three remain in custody as police inquiries continue.

Essex Police said it believes around 100 people were at the hotel at the time of the incident.

The force said: “We need anyone with information about what happened to get in touch.”

Anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam footage or any other recordings relating to the incident is asked to contact police using Essex Police’s website or online live chat service, quoting reference number 42/142250/26.
