One person and two police officers have been rushed to hospital after a horror crash between a van and a police car.
The collision happened in Dundrod outside Lisburn, Co Antrim, at around 7.25am on Friday morning. A male driver and the two police officers were hospitalised for their injuries after 999 crews swarmed the scene. Police haven’t confirmed the condition of the three hurt in the crash.
Police are now appealing for witnesses following the incident. No arrests have been made. A PSNI spokesperson said: “At approximately 7.25am two vehicles, including a police car, were in collision in the Rock Road area of Dundrod.

“Police colleagues attended the scene, alongside colleagues from other emergency services and two police officers and a male driver were taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries.
“Enquiries are ongoing and police would appeal to anyone with any information or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage available from the scene, to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 204 11/09/26.
“Alternatively, a report can be submitted online using the non-emergency reporting form https://reporting.psni.police.uk/appeals or to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.”
Meanwhile, a horror crash in Australia has left two children dead and five others injured.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of a horrific car crash in Melbourne, which occurred shortly before 4pm on Tuesday, September 8.
A woman and seven children were inside the vehicle when it rolled. A seven-year-old girl passed away at the scene.
A boy, 11, was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries. He passed away overnight.
The other five children were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver, a 34-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for observation.
Ambulance helicopter crews, intensive care and advanced life paramedics remained at the scene throughout Tuesday afternoon.
