Man City star’s brother wins Misfits Boxing struggle hours earlier than Man Utd derby match
Wil Anderson, the older brother of Manchester City midfielder Elliot Anderson, has won his Misfits Boxing match against Luke Dyson

The older brother of Manchester City star Elliot Anderson, Wil, emerged victorious during a Misfits Boxing clash against Luke Dyson. The 25-year-old clinched triumph with a fourth-round stoppage.
He rose to prominence following his stint on Love Island in June 2024. Since then, he’s embraced boxing with his sibling cheering him on from afar. The City midfielder posted a snap of Wil’s celebrations on his Instagram story, accompanied by the message: “Let’s go bro.”
He also uploaded footage capturing the moment the referee halted the contest. Anderson is gearing up at home before Sunday’s Manchester derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford. The fixture will see Enzo Maresca’s squad aim to preserve their flawless winning streak this campaign.

The bout featured on the undercard preceding the Misfits headline encounter between Jordan McCann and Big Stacks, who carries the moniker of the ‘UK’s hardest man’.
Following the contest, Wil challenged American Josh Brueckner as he sets his sights on the cruiserweight crown. It’s a bout that has received support from trainer Bj Flores, who posted on Instagram: “After this we can set up @wilandersonn vs @joshbrueckner.”
Anderson replied with: “Ready for all the smoke.”
The clash with Dyson marked Anderson’s third outing. While he suffered defeat in his debut against Jordan Banjo, he has subsequently overcome Jake Cornish and now Dyson.

Wil provided his backing to Elliot throughout the summer, supporting England across in America during the World Cup alongside his fiancée Uma Jammeh, whom he encountered on Love Island.
The younger sibling established himself as a crucial part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad prior to the tournament.
He featured from the start in seven of England’s eight matches during the competition. It was while he was in America that he secured a then record-breaking £116 million transfer from Nottingham Forest to City.
Thus far this campaign, Anderson has begun all three Premier League fixtures. He also entered as a second-half substitute in Tuesday’s Champions League opener vs Porto.
