‘I’ve snogged and groped the man from the health club – now I’m tempted to go all the best way’

If you have a problem that needs solving and you don’t know where to turn, look no further.

Every day, the Daily Star’s very own agony aunt Jane O’Gorman is on hand to tackle your issues and concerns with some straight-talking but sound advice.

If you want help, you can write to Just Jane, Daily Star, One Canada Square, London, E145AP or email [email protected]. Please note that Jane cannot respond to individual letters and not all problems will be published.

Open invitation

I love my long term partner. He’s a great guy, but there’s no denying that our sex life is predictable and boring.

We’re guilty of simply going through the motions in bed. I know that an affair will make me feel vital and vibrant again but, dare I go there?

There’s a gorgeous guy at my gym who is making is abundantly clear that he fancies me.

So far, we’ve only snogged and groped on a couple of occasions, but he’s given me his home address and an open invitation to visit any time I like…

JANE SAYS: You and I both know that a fling with your gym buddy would only end in tears. You’re already in a committed relationship, so a fling would cause much hurt and suffering to all concerned.

Your partner would be devastated; your lover would feel used, and you’d be left filled with guilt and self-loathing.

Why not use the pent-up energy you’re experiencing to better use with your partner? Suggest to him that you reboot your relationship with a romantic weekend away, date nights and early bed times.

You and he are clearly in a dip and, I suspect, he’s as frustrated as you are. Do you also admit to the snogging in order to clear the air? Wouldn’t you expect to hear the truth?

Practically perfect

My mate’s house is always immaculate, while mine is a mess. She so cool. She invariably has the right answer to everything, plus she can cook and earns a fortune.

She has never criticised me or said anything negative thing about my shambolic life, but I do feel inferior beside her.

Now she’s pregnant and looking amazing while I’m still struggling to lose my baby weight from 2024.

How come she’s always groomed and successful whereas I’m always running to catch up?

JANE SAYS: Instead of waging a silent, mental war against your mate why don’t you try and learn from her?

What is her secret to a cool life?

Is it that she never sweats the small stuff and always puts her head down and gets on with the jobs in hand? Does she write lists? Or asks other people to help out when she reaches her limit?

Then look at your own circumstances; if too much ‘stuff’ is dragging you down, then have a massive clear out of your home. Does alcohol or junk food slow you down?

Are you wasting time on people who steal your energy? I’m sure your friend would love to help you and hasn’t criticised because she’s thoughtful.

Why not tap into her talents?
