Keely Hodgkinson wins Athlos race in Catwoman speedsuit that ‘looks like sporting nothing’
Keely Hodgkinson claimed a thrilling triumph in the Athlos 800m in London while wearing a jaw-dropping new Catwoman style speedsuit.
The Team GB golden girl wrapped up her 2026 campaign in stunning style on Friday evening, as the Olympic gold medallist and world record holder surged to victory in a bespoke streamlined full-length racing kit designed by Nike.
The space-age one-piece, complete with ninja-style hood, was crafted for optimal velocity and reduced wind resistance. Discussing the daring ensemble, the 24-year-old track star lauded the state-of-the-art, featherweight material, declaring that the groundbreaking outfit “feels like I’m wearing nothing”.

The BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2024 winner said: “I wanted to be comfortable but I wanted to feel a little bit sexy, the back’s open and that makes it feel really cool. It feels like I’m wearing nothing, to be honest.”
Once racing commenced, she was all business. In typical Hodgkinson style, she overwhelmed the world-class field to claim victory for the second consecutive year, having previously topped the 800m at Athlos 2025 in New York City, reports Wales Online.
The Athlos competition – established to champion women’s athletics through unparalleled financial support and exposure – presents champions with a silver Tiffany crown rather than traditional medals, alongside a monetary reward of $65,000 (£48,500).

The single-evening gathering featured seven events, each containing six competitors, with financial rewards available for every finishing position from a combined prize fund of $1.05million (£790,500). For Hodgkinson, claiming victory in the Athlos 800m will deliver yet another financial windfall to her already substantial fortune.
While her precise net worth has never been publicly disclosed, estimates suggest it sits at approximately £4m.
Her wealth has soared dramatically following her triumph at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where she secured gold in the women’s 800m. Before her Olympic success, the British middle-distance star’s net worth was believed to hover around £250,000.

Buoyed by her lucrative long-term deal with Nike, plus premium sponsorship agreements with high-end brands including Omega and beauty powerhouses Charlotte Tilbury and Rimmel London, estimates indicate Hodgkinson pulls in more than £1m annually through commercial partnerships.
It’s been a triumphant year both on the track and financially for the Manchester-born athlete, who smashed the indoor 800m world record (1:54.87) en route to gold at the World Indoor Championships.
On the outdoor circuit, she bettered her own British 800m record to 1:54.33, claimed silver at the European Championships in Birmingham, and crowned her season with a spectacular triumph at Athlos London.

Discussing her race attire, Hodgkinson said: “This has been like a year in the making. It’s a mixture of fashion and speed and science all coming together for maybe the future of athletics.
“It was a real honour for them to choose me to put this out first. We weren’t sure when we were going to wear it.
“But an all-women’s event that’s all about the glitz and the glamour and putting eyes on women, a bit of a moment, I think was the perfect way to finish the season.”
