Mohamed Salah banned from driving over rushing 36mph days after Liverpool choice
Former Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been hit with a driving ban for a speeding offence in his Rolls-Royce just days after he announced to fans he was leaving Liverpool

Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah has been banned from driving for six months after his Rolls-Royce was clocked speeding just days after he told fans he would be leaving the club.
The ex- Reds player, 34, failed to tell police who was at the wheel when the car was caught by a speed camera driving at 36mph on a 30mph stretch of road in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on March 27, according to court documents.
Salah did not respond to the notice of the prosecution, brought by Cheshire Constabulary, and did not enter a plea to the charge.
A court official said he was prosecuted at Warrington Combined Court under the Single Justice Procedure, which sees magistrates sit in private hearings, and was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of the Rolls Royce.

The Egypt national captain was handed a six-month driving ban and ordered to pay £1,044, the court spokeswoman said.
The speeding offence came days after Salah announced he would be leaving Liverpool following nine years with the team.
Announcing his departure on March 24, the club said he had “firmly established himself as one of the greatest players in Liverpool’s history”.
He scored 257 goals in 442 appearances for Liverpool, before transferring to Turkish side Trabzonspor following the 2025-26 season.

Salah signed a two-year deal with Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor after hundreds of fans turned out to greet the former Liverpool forward at Ataturk Airport.
Salah was linked with several clubs this summer, and had received an offer from Trabzonspor’s Super Lig rivals Besiktas.
Salah made his Trabzonspor debut as a second-half substitute as his new club launched their Turkish Super Lig campaign with a 1-1 draw at Kasimpasa on August 15.
It did not take him long to open his scoring account at his new club. He scored his first goals for Trabzonspor with a brace in their 2-1 win over Istanbul Basaksehir on August 23.
