Prince William ‘does not endure similar jealousy’ as King Charles did for that reason
A royal expert has sensationally claimed that Prince William is proud of his wife Kate, unlike his father who was jealous of Princess Diana and her relationship with the public

A royal expert has claimed Prince William is “proud” of Princess Catherine’s popularity rather than jealous of it, unlike his father’s reported feelings towards Princess Diana.
Speaking to Fox News, royal author Christopher Andersen compared the two royals, describing the way that Britons “adore” the Princess of Wales in “the same way they adored Princess Diana“, although he suggested that the father and son have entirely different views on their popularity.
He said: “Rather than be jealous of his wife the way King Charles was jealous of Diana’s popularity, William is more than content to let Kate shine. In fact, there are times when he is perfectly happy to bask in her reflected glory.”

“Kate has been William’s rock for a quarter-century, and vice versa. What they have is the real thing. And I think Kate’s cancer battle gave them a whole new perspective on life and a renewed appreciation of each other.
“It’s all well and good to be proper and stiff in that British way, but why go to such lengths to hide their deep affection for each other? The spontaneous hugs, the loving looks — why wouldn’t William be bursting with pride?”
The commentator, who wrote the book William and Kate: A Royal Love Story, then went on to compare Kate Middleton to one of Britain’s most beloved fictional characters, suggesting that she has become the “royal family’s Mary Poppins” as she is “practically perfect in every way.”

The comparison between the two Princesses was shared by royal expert Helena Chard, who described how the British public ” held a torch for Diana as they do for Princess Catherine now”, adding that the to-be King and Queen “have something more powerful than individual star power”.
She said: “He loves the fact that she is loved. He is in awe. It reminds him, in the best way, of the love his late mother received from the public. When he watches a crowd reach for Catherine, he doesn’t see a rival for attention. He sees the woman he loves being adored, and he adores her all the more for it.”
Chard went on to describe the nature of the pair’s relationship, saying that William is still “smitten” with his wife of ten years.

She said: “It’s not just about duty. Prince William is not only proud, but he is smitten. He watches Princess Catherine and lights up. After more than a decade of marriage and three children, he is still completely enchanted by her.
“Few marriages have deepened in public admiration the way theirs has. They have achieved something very difficult – they have carved out a private life that works, and a public life that works. That balance is a great success.”
