Liverpool information: Transfer recognized to ‘rebuild membership’s DNA’ as star hails ‘actual grasp’
Liverpool have found themselves at the centre of a transfer tale as the international break winds down and club football returns with a huge fixture
It might only be October, but Liverpool are already at the centre of a budding transfer saga as club football takes a back seat during the international break. The Reds’ star have been playing across the globe, but it is a star at home who has caught the eye of suitors.
Liverpool, however, might have more focus on the pitch as they face a very tricky clash with Manchester City next weekend – who will play their first game since being found guilty of breaching 114 Premier League financial rules after by an independent commission.
And with all that in mind, Daily Star Sport has looked at some of the biggest stories from Anfield in the past 24 hours from a transfer target to a club legend’s admission.

Juventus target Giovanni Leoni
Juventus are looking to “rebuild the Italian DNA” of their club, starting with a move for Giovanni Leoni.
Gazzetta dello Sport suggests the Serie A side are on the hunt for “Premier League defenders” who can strengthen their defence while restoring a national identity.
Leoni, 19, has had limited game time for the Reds since signing in August 2025, delivering a man-of-the-match display against Southampton before an ACL rupture cut short his debut season, reports the Mirror.
It appears Iraola has ambitious plans for the youngster despite transfer speculation, confirming in September that he would bring the centre-back back into the main squad during the international break.
“I think the next one probably should be Giovanni Leoni. I think the plan is also to start training during the break, with the group.”
Jurgen Klopp’s ‘love’ admission
Jurgen Klopp believes he has rediscovered his “love” for football after it was sapped from him at Anfield.
The former Reds manager made a stunning exit from Anfield in 2024 after revealing he was “running out of energy.”
Klopp, who has returned as the German boss, said: “I missed nothing, but I realised I still love what I’m doing. It’s a blessing to work together with players like [Aleksandar Pavlovic].
“It’s a pure joy. I’m blessed to watch the group I have from close. We’ve only just started, I’m looking forward to our common future.”
Liverpool winger Florian Wirtz has also been singing the praises of his new international boss, hailing Klopp as a “real master” of motivation and making players feel valued following a 2-0 victory over Serbia.
Wirtz was the driving force behind that victory last Thursday evening, setting up Tom Bischof for the opening goal before sealing the win with a brilliant individual effort.
