Liverpool are weighing up another blockbuster signing to add to their mega money attacking line-up.

Andoni Iraola’s Reds already sport an astonishingly expensive front four of Alexander Isak, Bradley Barcola, Florian Wirtz and Cody Gakpo, who cost an estimated combined total of around £410million. Yet they are eyeing another world class addition to bolster their forward ranks, after failing to sign a new right winger to replace Mohamed Salah in the summer.

It comes as the Premier League titans are preparing to face Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, when Enzo Maresca’s table-toppers will arrive in Merseyside under a black cloud, after the club was found guilty of cheating the Premier League’s financial rules. Here’s all the latest news from Anfield.

Michael Olise contract clause

Former Crystal Palace winger Olise has allegedly made a contractual request to Bayern, amid rumours linking him with a move to Liverpool.

The Reds were supposedly keen on the winger during the summer transfer window, though they ultimately opted to snap up Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz for their wide positions, reports the Mirror.

Spanish publication Sport reports Olise has requested a new clause be inserted into an updated agreement with Bayern, with the Bundesliga giants reportedly willing to accommodate.

The report suggests the Frenchman has insisted on the clause, which would permit him to leave Bayern for another club under particular conditions. However, he is said to be valued at around £170m by the German titans.

German publication BILD report Bayern are growing increasingly anxious about the player’s keenness to pen fresh terms, with the proposed release clause allegedly causing unease amongst figures at the Bundesliga giants.

Olise’s existing deal stretches until summer 2029 , though the outlet claims the Bavarians are keen to secure his services through to 2032.

Liverpool youngster Amara Nallo has returned to Anfield following the early termination of his loan spell at HJK Helsinki due to injury.

The 19-year-old defender moved to the Finnish outfit in July on a deal lasting until the conclusion of the Veikkausliiga season, which concludes in November.

Nallo is now back on Merseyside to begin his recovery after it became clear he would not regain fitness in time. The former West Ham United centre-half, who has featured three times for Liverpool’s first team, made three starts during his stint with HJK.

HJK confirmed in an official statement, which read: “Amara Nallo’s loan spell at HJK has ended due to an injury. Nallo, who previously served as captain of Liverpool’s U21 team, arrived at Klubi in July on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

“After receiving his work permit, the 19-year-old centre-back managed to play two Veikkausliiga matches in August, as well as an away game against Motherwell in the Conference League qualifiers.

“An injury kept Nallo on the sidelines for all of September, and he will not recover in time before the end of the Veikkausliiga season.

“The centre-back has already returned to Liverpool to rehabilitate his leg injury. Thank you for the visit, Amara!” Liverpool confirmed Nallo’s return, with the defender now set to undergo his recovery at the AXA Training Centre.
