Meghan Markle suffers big blow as Britain’s true emotions towards Duchess revealed
Meghan Markle has been dealt a major blow just days after her plan to start selling her As Ever goods in Britain was unveiled, with a poll showing 99% of Brits would not buy her products
Meghan Markle has suffered a harsh setback just days after revealing plans to start selling her As Ever products in the UK. The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly gearing up to market some of her As Ever range in Britain, now that she’s residing here again.
This marks a significant shift for her brand, which was launched last year, as her products have previously only been available for purchase in the US. While not all of Meghan’s As Ever items will be accessible to UK customers, it’s reported that a selection of her key products will be.
According to The Sun, Meghan is allegedly considering selling her £11 tins of tea and £50 scented candles on British soil. Other potential offerings for UK customers include a £15 limited edition bookmark.
While these products enjoy popularity among Meghan’s American fanbase, their success in the UK remains uncertain. This is particularly true following a recent poll indicating a lack of interest in purchasing goods from Meghan Markle’s As Ever shop when it begins trading in the UK.
Just after 10 am on October 12, The Daily Express initiated a poll asking its readers if they would buy from Meghan Markle’s As Ever brand when it becomes available in the UK, reports the Express.
The poll, which concluded at 3.30 pm on October 13, revealed that an overwhelming majority of Daily Express readers voted no – 99%. Only 1% of Daily Express readers stated they would be buying As Ever products when they become available in the UK, while 0% said they were unsure.
This is likely to prove disappointing for Meghan, who moved back to the UK this summer alongside her husband Prince Harry and their two children. Some of the 1% told the Daily Express that they would and will be purchasing As Ever products also explained their reasoning. One commenter declared: “Yes I would.”
Another enthused: “TOTALLY 200% will purchase for myself and for gifts. Love the ease with which she presents items and the class in how they are packaged and shipped. Love Meghan and I wish her well.”
