WARNING, DISTRESSING CONENT: A 15-year-old girl was forced into prostitution and told she had to make a certain amount of money each day, police have said
A young girl was horrifically raped by nearly 900 men after she was forced into prostitution, it has been alleged. The 15-year-old was reportedly human trafficked and sent to several French towns over a period of four months.
Police say the girl was kidnapped and threatened with violence if she did not comply. It is estimated her alleged captors made around £50,000 in just four months.
Two people – a man and a boy – have been arrested and charged in connection with the scheme. according to local media outlet ICI. The case came to the attention of the authorities after the teen’s mum reported her missing in the Puget-sur-Argens region in May.
Just days into the investigation, officers from the Marseille vice squad located the young girl and said she had been abused and forced into prostitution.
They say that the teen, who has not been named, had been a victim of a sickening prostitution ring, and told she must earn a minimum amount daily by selling her body.
She was forced to prostitute herself in the Var and Alpes-Maritimes regions between February and May 2026 and worked across a number of well known towns, famed for being tourist hotspot.
She worked in places such as Nice and Cannes, known for their celebrity culture and private beaches and even had her services advertised by the men running her, who would post online and via flyers left out in apartments and hotels.
Police say that during the course of their investigation, it was found that the teen was being kept under close watch at all times to ensure she could not get away.
A joint agency operation managed to track down the two suspects, leading to their arrest on October 13 and they were taken into custody.
They appeared before court on October 15 and charged with aggravated pimping of a minor and human trafficking of a minor in Puget-sur-Argens, Draguignan, Toulon, Nice and Cannes.
The adult suspect was remanded in custody, while the minor was released under judicial supervision.
The first suspect will stand trial on December 11, and the second will be tried before the Draguignan juvenile court.
