A darts star’s stunning ex-glamour model wife was modelling for QVC when she caused an online storm with her sports bra, which left very little to the imagination
The wife of one of darts’ biggest names once suffered a very noticeable wardrobe malfunction on live TV.
Stunning blonde Samantha Marsh-Wade was a glamour model before she became a darts walk-on girl. She is now better known as the partner and manager of James Wade. Sammi, who has two children with ‘The Machine’, will be cheering him on when he faces Ricky Evans in the second round of the Paddy Power PDC World Darts Championship on Monday afternoon.
Back in 2016, when still regularly appearing in lads mags such as Zoo, in jaw-dropping annual calendars and even posing in the pages of the Daily Star, Sammi also worked as a shopping channel model. And while promoting a sports bra, things didn’t go exactly according to plan for the future Mrs Wade.
Sammi was modelling for QVC when her lingerie, which left little to the imagination, sparked an online frenzy.
While showcasing the ‘light support’, salmon-pink bra, Sammi’s ample assets were clearly visible under the fabric and the harsh studio lights did little to preserve her modesty.
As they discussed the features of the bra, the presenters revealed the fabric was lightweight, designed to support women with larger busts.
However, no one seemed to spot the wardrobe malfunction as the camera remained firmly focused on Sammi’s chest, reported the Irish Mirror.
Sammi later donned a tight, grey bodysuit and the clip went viral after being shared online.
Within moments of the images appearing on air, fans were quick to highlight the finer points of her appearance.
Showing her trademark class and good humour, Sammi retweeted some of the stories reporting on the commotion, without making any personal comments herself.
Now 35, she faced baseless claims that she was a gold digger when she started dating Wade, now 42, in 2013. Wade is said to have a net worth of around £3m, which led to accusations he publicly denied.
Wade said: “When we first went out, there was the whole thing about ‘Samantha is only with you for your money’. It actually made me a little bit paranoid in the beginning.
“Then I realised what family Samantha comes from and that was not her intention. All the doubters had to shut up when they realised we were so strong – she is my rock.”
In 2015, the pair would tie the knot and they now have two children, Arthur born in 2018, and Alfred, who arrived in 2022. While Sammi also works as the darts star’s manager.
Wade, who started his 2026 World Darts Championship campaign last Wednesday with a 3-0 win against Japanese star Ryusei Azemoto, said: “Sammi does so much people don’t see. She is a very busy bee. We are pretty much inseparable.”
