‘He completely loves Newbury’ – Jason Heavey’s racing suggestions
The Daily Star Chief Tipster thinks Lossiemouth and No Drama This End should have little trouble in landing Grade One glory on Monday so has sought out a better value punt at Newbury
RATH GAUL HILL (1.15, nap) should peak nicely for punters at Newbury on Monday.
The seven-year-old has won four of his 12 career starts and two of his victories have come at the Berkshire track.
He should be much fitter for his seasonal return and rates the nap in the Coral Racing Club “Join For Free” Handicap Chase.
The ITV4 cameras are showing eight races from four meetings and DOCTORS HILL (2.22) can prove just the tonic for punters in the 2m4f handicap hurdle. The longer trip will suit Philip Hobbs and Johnson White’s youngster.
GUARD THE MOON (3.35, trb) won easily on his chasing debut and should shrug off a rise in the weights, while RIVERS CORNER (1.50) has been running well and deserves to win the Coral Mandarin Chase.
It will be a major shock if the exciting NO DRAMA THIS END (3.00) fails to win the Coral Challow Hurdle for Paul Nicholls, who has won the race six times including with the mighty Denman in 2005.
No Drama This End has looked in a league of his own in both his hurdles victories and can see off his seven rivals.
Willie Mullins’ SPINDLEBERRY (2.10) looks a natural jumper and can win the Listed Mares’ Chase at Doncaster, while STONE’S THROW (2.45) could be chucked in at the weights.
Mullins should also score with flying mare LOSSIEMOUTH (2.32) in the December Hurdle at Leopardstown.
She meets Gordon Elliott’s Brighterdaysahead for the first time and it is a mouth-watering Grade One clash.
