Not a foul first day on the workplace! Antoine Semenyo scores on his Man City debut because the hosts hit SIX previous League One minnows Exeter City – at some point after making £62.5m transfer

Antoine Semenyo opened his goal-scoring account at Manchester City just over 24 hours after making his move to the Premier League giants from Bournemouth

The forward moved to the Etihad in a £62.5million deal to kick off the January transfer window, after Pep Guardiola‘s side won the race for his signature.

A day later and Semenyo was in Guardiola’s starting line-up, registering two assists before finding the back of the net himself against League One side Exeter City.

Still wounded by Wednesday’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Brighton, which saw them fail to close the gap on Premier League leaders Arsenal at the top, City ran riot in the FA Cup third round as Guardiola rang the changes.

Max Alleyne and Rodri fired City two ahead before a pair of own goals from the visitors just before the break gave Guardiola’s side a comfortable 4-0 lead heading into the second half.

The hosts continued their onslaught after half time with Rico Lewis making it five in the 49th minute, before Semenyo got in on the action with his first for the club.
