World-renowned DJ Peggy Gou has addressed rumours she is dating tennis superstar Carlos Alcaraz, insisting she is ‘good friends’ with the world No.1.
Gou – who will perform on Sunday afternoon ahead of the men’s final at Melbourne Park – turned heads earlier this week after appearing in the Spaniard’s player box when he outclassed local hope Alex de Minaur in their quarter-final showdown.
Post-match, the six-time Grand Slam winner was asked about the internationally renowned South Korean DJ and music producer, who appeared to relish watching him play on Rod Laver Arena.
‘Peggy is a friend, she’s really cool. I’m happy to see her here,’ Alcaraz said.
‘I’ve got great support from her, which is really cool.’
Gou, 34, also played-down talk the pair are an item, declaring they are ‘good friends’ before adding when they do hang out they often eat together as food is the ‘love language’ of Korean people.

The in-demand DJ was born Kim Min-ji in Incheon, South Korea, in 1991.
Her booking fee doesn’t come cheap, with some sources suggesting a starting price of $300,000.
Before arriving at the Australian Open, Alcaraz and Gou were spotted having a dinner date in Seoul, where the 22-year-old was playing an exhibition match against Jannik Sinner.
In November last year, former tennis player Elena Vesnina boldly asked Alcaraz at the ATP Finals if he was single.
‘I have a question from a lot of girls around the world,’ she said. ‘Has your heart been taken?’
‘No, I’m free. I’m free. I’m free,’ Alcaraz replied.
For months, speculation continued about a relationship with British star Emma Raducanu.

Gou has performed at many leading festivals, notably Coachella and Glastonbury
Alcaraz was also previously rumoured to be dating model Brooks Nader.
It comes as the reigning French and US Open champion was stunned after receiving multiple marriage proposals from a smitten crowd during his third-round match at the Australian Open this year against France’s Corentin Moutet.
At one point during the match, a woman yelled out, ‘Carlos, marry my daughter!’
Moments later, another supporter shouted, ‘Marry my sister-in-law!’
