Pipeline tells the devastating story of five professional divers who were tasked with repairing a leaking undersea oil pipe off the coast of Trinidad and Tobago on February 25th 2022.
It was the final day of the project, but, as the divers put the finishing touches to weeks of work, tragedy struck.

The men were working for a contractor commissioned by Paria Fuel Trading Company, one arm of Trinidad’s state-owned oil company.
One of the men, Christopher Boodram, managed to claw his way back through the pipe to safety, over the course of three agonising hours. He begged Paria officials to send help for his trapped colleagues.
But the other four divers – Kazim Ali Jr, Yusuf Henry, Fyzal Kurban and Rishi Nagassar – were left to die, with an autopsy later revealing one man may have been alive for up to 39 hours trapped in the pipe.
Hosted by investigative reporter Isabelle Stanley, who presented the original podcast series that topped charts in the UK and US, the video combines chilling details of the Paria pipeline disaster with a haunting GoPro audio recording from inside the pipe.
The podcast series features exclusive interviews with sole-survivor Christopher Boodram and the devastated families who have fought tirelessly for justice.
Stanley’s investigation uncovered how – and why – Paria, blocked attempts to rescue the men, and uncovered lucrative contracts and secretive political relationships at the highest levels of the then-government.
The podcast was recently shortlisted for the prestigious Investigation of the Year award and News Podcast of the Year at the Press Awards.
