Elon Musk’s chilling WW3 prediction forward of Donald Trump’s assault on Iran

Elon Musk shared a chilling World War 3 (WW3) prediction before President Donald Trump confirmed the US military was working with Israel to try and end Iran’s current regime

Tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East, and a staggering map shows precisely which nations fall within Iran’s missile reach. Since President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that US military forces are collaborating with Israel in an attempt to topple Iran‘s current regime, millions have been left fearing the potential global implications.

Whilst the conflict remains confined to the Middle East for now, many are concerned about the prospect of World War 3 (WW3) erupting. This is something Elon Musk foresaw well before the President initiated Operation Epic Fury in recent days.

Musk, who previously headed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has long maintained it’s inevitable, and his forecasts are deeply unsettling. Re-emerged footage of Musk from an earlier interview demonstrates exactly how he believes future warfare might unfold. This follows further details of how people died during the attacks in Iran.

In a clip circulated by Mind Reflex, Musk is heard stating: “You know at some point there’s going to be a third world war and, after WW3, who knows what’s left after WW3? So, there’s arguably this race between do we become a multi-planet species or WW3?

“Which one is first? If WW3 is first, then maybe we never get to another planet.”

The notion sparked considerable discussion and, even prior to recent developments, people acknowledged having serious anxieties about another global conflict.

One observer remarked: “Multi-planets sound better. Let’s do that, leave wars, no one got time for that.” Another commented: “WW3 will be the last ever war.”

A third responded: “There is no WW3. It’s the end of humanity.” Meanwhile, a fourth also stated: “There won’t be anything after WW3.”

Whilst there are presently no indications that the conflict is escalating globally, information emerging from Iran is staggering. Within recent hours, a map has surfaced displaying every military operation carried out by the US, Israel and Iran during the confrontation up to Monday morning.

Red markers indicate casualties and fatalities in Iranian territory struck by US and Israeli forces, whilst yellow markers represent Iranian attacks and their resulting casualties. The impacted regions include Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE and Bahrain.

Meanwhile, following apparent friction between Trump and Musk after his exit from his former position with DOGE, questions remain about their current relationship. In June 2025, Trump reportedly declared his relationship with Musk was “over”.

Nevertheless, months afterwards, they were photographed meeting and shaking hands following the turbulent separation. Back in September last year, Trump and the multi-billionaire Musk appeared in better form when they were spotted together.

At the time, Trump reportedly admitted he’d “missed” the unpredictable SpaceX boss. Before the 2016 US presidential election, Musk voiced his backing for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s economic and environmental policies during a CNBC interview.

Back then, Musk also stated Trump didn’t seem to have “the sort of character that reflects well on the United States.” Subsequently, in 2019, Musk remained aligned with the Democrats, publicly supporting Andrew Yang’s presidential campaign.

Yet, despite his typically fierce criticism of critics, Trump praised Musk, describing him as “one of our great geniuses.” At the 2020 World Economic Forum in Davos, he declared: “You know, we have to protect Thomas Edison, and we have to protect all of these people that came up with originally the lightbulb and the wheel and all of these things. And [Musk is] one of our very smart people, and we want to cherish those people.”

This fostered a tight partnership between Trump and Musk, resulting in Musk’s “DOGE” initiative, which was claimed to have delivered savings of $205 billion. Nevertheless, some US government sources suggest it actually generated costs of $21.7 billion instead.
