It’s not the first time chaos has erupted in a UK high street hotspot. Just last year, a McDonald’s in Dalston, London, saw a shocking mass brawl break out after a worker appeared to slap a hooded youth, sparking a violent melee as a gang forced their way inside, leaving stunned customers and staff scrambling as police were called to the scene.

Shocking footage showed the moment the mass brawl was sparked in the McDonald’s restaurant after a worker appeared to slap a hooded youth on his head. Horrified customers watched on as a group of yobs barged their way into the fast food chain’s restaurant in Dalston, east London, before staff told them to leave the store, the Daily Star previously reported.

As they tried to force their way into the restaurant by pulling the automatic doors open, staff could be seen trying to keep them out while scared customers are still inside. A video clip posted to social media showed the thugs eventually manage to open the entrance, allowing one of their number to enter the store.

He could be seen confronting a Maccies worker and gestures at him before knocking his hat off his head, sending it flying across the restaurant. The staff member seemed to retaliate by slapping the teenager across his face.
