Pop star Lewis Capaldi turns into shoe salesman for brand spanking new marketing campaign
Lover of soft souls Lewis Capaldi is promoting HEYDUDE shoes and has created a hilarious new Escape to HEYDUDE Country campaign video where he fishes for footwear. Only he could get away with it.
Lewis Capaldi has turned his hand to being a shoe salesman after joining another campaign for Crocs-owned footwear brand HeyDude.
The Scottish chart topper is regularly seen out wearing the comfort footwear brand and now fronts its new tongue-in-cheek spring campaign for its ‘Stretch Sox’ silhouette.
It involves Lewis poking fun with a short film featuring him transported to various scenic destinations while wearing a pair of Stretch Sox shoes.
Brand ambassador Lew is spoiling fans by pretending to be on a tropical beach, padel boarding, sitting by a campfire (well on a campfire), fishing (for shoes) and sitting on the edge of a moving boat at sea.
Capaldi encourages consumers to slow down: “why not escape with me to Heydude country? A place that I most certainly am. You can find me hanging out with all the locals.
“I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking ‘Lewis how can I be as comfortable as you?’ Well, it’s rather simple, really.
“All you have to do is slide your pretty little toes into a pair of Heydude shoes and reconnect with life’s lighter moments.”
Most pop acts have wine brands or a fashion line, so it’s an unusual promotion for Lewis to get behind but he clearly loves the shoes and quips: “I’d like to rest my head on those little puppies. Light as the air itself.”
The Stretch Sox silhouette, available in multiple colours is designed for easy step-in wear and underpinned by the brand’s newly introduced ‘Comfort System’.
It reinforces HeyDude’s focus on accessible, everyday comfort across both men’s (‘Wally’) and women’s (‘Wendy’) categories.
The latest Lewis Capaldi partnership supports HeyDude’s brand visibility and cultural relevance in the UK market. The 360-degree roll-out of the campaign spans digital, social, retail, and wholesale channels – signalling continued investment in brand building for 2026.
Lewis Capaldi is set to embark on his biggest tour to date for 2026, following a triumphant comeback to music in late 2025.
The tour features a major North American leg in the spring, followed by a series of high-profile UK and European outdoor headline shows and festivals throughout the summer including Isle Of Wight festival and BST Hyde Park London plus parks across the UK.
Jacob Alon and Conan Gray will be joining Capaldi at various show.
And if the pop career goes wrong there’s always shoes!
