Nine-time Pro Bowl NFL star avoids free company to signal enormous $18m deal at age of 35

The Los Angeles Chargers are bringing nine-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Khalil Mack back into the fold for another season.
Mack has signed a one-year, $18million deal to stay with the AFC West team, according to multiple reports.
It’s an important signature for the Chargers to get as Mack was set to become a free agent.
The former NFL Defensive Player of the Year had five-and-a-half sacks in 2025, but spent much of the season suffering from an elbow injury.
The 35-year-old star helped turn around the defensive effort of the Chargers after returning from that injury – powering them to a playoff appearance.
