A Microsoft account manager found drowned by a private members’ club on the Thames has been pictured for the first time.
Jennifer Symonds, 44, was found dead in the water in Henley-on-Thames on Friday, March 6.
Nelio Gouveia, 44, of Phyllis Court Drive, Henley-on-Thames, has been charged with one count of murder and has been remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Oxford Crown Court tomorrow.
Thames Valley Police officers were called to Phyllis Court Drive on Friday at around 8am where they discovered Ms Symonds’s body.
Police teams were seen searching the water for evidence on Saturday next to the Phyllis Court Club.
A post-mortem examination carried out on Sunday recorded her cause of death as drowning.
Gouveia appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court yesterday, where he spoke only to confirm his name, age, and address, reports the Reading Chronicle.

He looked down at the ground throughout most of the hearing.
Thames Valley Police is not looking for any other suspects in connection with its murder investigation.
A spokesperson for the force said: ‘[Ms Symonds’s] next of kin are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers and our thoughts remain with the family.
‘Jennifer’s family have requested that their privacy is respected at this extremely difficult time.’
Ms Symonds had worked for Microsoft since 2018, according to her LinkedIn.
Her most recent position was senior customer success account manager at the tech firm’s UK headquarters in Reading.
She had studied physical geography at the University of Gloucestershire, where she was a hockey team captain.
