Disgraced Andrew mocked in ‘going to jail’ Epstein information float at St Patrick’s Day parade
A bizarre St Patrick’s Day parade float joked about Andy Windsor “going to jail” and the Epstein files scandal. The controversial section of the celebration in Ballinrobe, Co Mayo, Ireland saw a tractor carrying an “Epstein Files” sign drive down the small town’s main street.
A video from the March 17 ceremony showed a masked man chase after a woman in a pink wig in front of the beeping tractor. Others ran by as the tractor moved towards the camera, revealing a shocking display on the trailer.
On a mattress, there is a man humping another in a wig beside another “Epstein Files” sign. At the back of the trailer, a man dressed in an apparent Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor costume is grabbed by a “garda” (Irish police) in a realistic looking uniform.
After “Andrew” is thrown in a make-shift cell, another sign at the back of the trailer reads, “Prince Andrew goin to jail [sic]”. Two big Irish tri-colour flags are flying at the back of the trailer as the camera shows two children watching on.
A woman is heard laughing as the display moves past. The video was shared shortly after midnight on St Patrick’s Day and quickly amassed half a million views on X, formerly Twitter.
It follows Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor being arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on February 19 before being released under investigation. He has always denied any wrongdoing.
Social media users were quick to praise the risqué float, with one writing: “Irish for the WIN”. Another said: “Supposed to be serious about this you got me”.
A third wrote in the comments: “It took me a second to realise what was going on.” A fourth wrote: “Excellent. Also had a sign about ‘prince’ Andrew going to prison. Never going to happen.”
However, the “celebration” didn’t go down well with everyone, with one person writing: “It is supposed to be a family parade… not a political platform displaying depravity and perversions – this is disgusting and wrong in so many ways.”
It comes as Irish pop star Niall Horan had an awkward St Patrick’s Day with a US President. The One Direction star was invited to the White House to perform for Joe Biden on St Paddy’s day a few years ago, but found the experience a “shock to the system!”
Niall said: “I got invited to perform at The White House a couple of years ago which was absolutely bonkers. I couldn’t believe what was going on.”
