BREAKING UAE and Kuwait come below assault by missiles hours after Iran ceasefire declared

The UAE and Kuwait have come under attack by missiles and drones just hours after the Iran ceasefire was declared.

Kuwait says its air defenses are intercepting a wave of Iranian drones that were launched around 8am (0500 GMT), according to the army. Officials say some drones have targeted vital oil facilities, power stations and water desalination plants, causing major infrastructure damage.

The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates says its own air defenses are “engaging with missile and drone attacks originating from Iran”. It is unclear why Iran is launching attacks just hours after the ceasefire was announced.

It comes as oil refineries on Iran’s Lavan Island were targeted on Wednesday morning. The source of the blasts are currently unknown.
