Laura Woods has shared a heartwarming throwback snap with the TNT Sports presenter celebrating Arsenal’s first Premier League win in 22 years
Arsenal superfan Laura Woods has shared a heartwarming throwback snap on social media after the Gunners won their first Premier League title in 22 years on Tuesday.
Mikel Arteta’s side gathered at their training ground to watch Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, confirming as them as champions. And Woods was among those celebrating as she shared a throwback snap on Instagram.
Woods, 38, shared a series of snaps on Instagram with the caption: “It’s always been Arsenal.” The first pic showed her wearing a retro Arsenal shirt during her childhood while another showed her sharing a hug with Mikel Arteta.

“Congrats lovely, enjoy every second,” close pal Natalie Pike replied. While another responded: “She was always going to have receipts!”
“I can’t stop crying!!!! Congrats to all of us,” a third commented. As a fourth said: “I cannot wait to see you giving it to O’Hara!”
And another added: “Bring back the bangs!”
While Woods enjoyed the win from afar, thousands of Arsenal fans descended upon the Emirates Stadium to celebrate the triumph.
Flares were let off as the night sky was turned red, while one social media video showed Gunnersaurus joining the celebrations.
In one video, recorded outside the Armoury, Arsenal supporters can be seen bouncing arm-in-arm while embracing one another.
Pictures show club legend Wright joining in the celebrations. The former striker was a key part of the 1997/98 Premier League winning Arsenal squad.
And even as the sun came up, fans were still outside the stadium. One video shared on social media, which is claimed to have been taken at 5am showed Saka, Timber and Rice all outside the stadium as fans posed for selfies with the jubilant trio.
