Sonny Aljofree has shared a heartfelt goodbye message as the defender confirmed his exit from Manchester United.
The 21-year-old has published the statement just days before United’s campaign officially concludes with the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday, where they travel to Brighton, having already qualified for the Champions League in third place under new manager Michael Carrick.
The summer transfer window is rapidly approaching, and there could be numerous alterations to United’s squad through multiple exits, alongside fresh arrivals. Aljofree has yet to make his debut for United’s first team this season, with an anticipated summer exit providing the defender with a chance to secure more senior football playing time.
He was summoned to United’s first-team training session back in April due to the club’s shortage of available centre-back options.

Aljofree also spent the first half of this season on loan at League Two side Notts County, making 11 appearances and scoring one goal before returning to United during the January transfer window.
