Female jail guard lastly says what occurred with lag in viral cell romp vid
An in famous former female prison guard has finally explained exactly what happened in an inmate’s cell – as she is “incredibly embarrassed” and regrets “everything she did”.
Linda De Sousa Abreu, 32, claimed HMP Wandsworth was “very understaffed” and “hard to manage” when she romped with lag Linton Weirich. He claimed she was one of a number of screws who smuggled Nando’s, drugs and phones for jailbirds.
Married mum-of-one De Sousa Abreu – who shared an adult content account with her husband – denied taking in food for Weirich and his friends, but admitted: “Everyone’s doing something. I regret everything I did. I’m incredibly embarrassed.”
Weirich, who was serving four years, nine months for burglary, claimed he added De Sousa Abreu on Snapchat and the pair had sex a “few times” before their recorded tryst in 2024.
De Sousa Abreu claimed Wandsworth had been “very understaffed” and “hard to manage” and told The Sun: “Listen, the police had my phone for over a year.
“Everything that I was charged for was what I went guilty for, which was an inappropriate relationship with Linton. That was my fault and that’s what I went guilty for, and that’s as far as it went.
“I had sex with someone I shouldn’t have had sex with and I had an inappropriate relationship, but I didn’t do anything else.”
The viral B-wing romp was recorded by a joint-smoking inmate called “Sharkie” who was heard to say: “This is how we live at Wandsworth. Gangsters online.”
De Sousa Abreu, originally from Brazil, resigned after the sex tape emerged. She admitted misconduct in a public office on July 29, 2024, and received 15 months’ jail on January 6 last year.
She served five months at HMP Bronzefield, Surrey, before she was released with a tag on. Speaking about life after jail, she said: “I’ve just been keeping a low-key life. I just want to get on with my life. I want to keep being a good mum to my child.”
Weirich, 38, who has served four stretches inside since 2003, said the “system has changed” and jail discipline has declined while staff corruption has spiralled.
He said: “A lot of staff are corrupt and make more money from bringing stuff in than they earn in salaries.”
The personal trainer said conditions there were “inhumane” with lags celled for up to 23 hours a day.
He added: “Any attention when you are in that situation is welcome and that’s what Linda gave me. She used to bring in Nando’s and Chinese meals for inmates.”
At the time Weirich’s partner Emilia Juckes, 32, was pregnant with their son, now 19 months old. Emilia gave birth to their son in September 2024. Weeks later, he was attacked in a visiting room by another lag as he held his baby.
He said: “When I woke up my partner was saying, ‘Someone hit you’. It’s 100 per cent linked to the Wandsworth video. Either someone asked him to do it or it was because I was in the limelight.”
