Teen ‘was clinging onto car’ earlier than falling and being run over in Essex park

An inquest opening has been held into the death of 18-year-old Tallulah Bradford, who died after an incident on Saturday, June 13, with the court hearing she was holding onto a vehicle before falling off

An inquest opening has heard that a teenager who tragically died at an Essex park was ‘clinging to the side of a vehicle’ before she fell off. The initial hearing into the death of 18 year old Tallulah Bradford took place today (July 16) at Chelmsford Coroners Court.

The inquest was told that Tallulah lost her life following an incident in Chalkwell Park, Westcliff, on Saturday, June 13. Emergency services were summoned to the Chalkwell Park area in Southend following reports that a group had unlawfully taken control of a small articulated loading vehicle.

It was revealed during the inquest that Tallulah was clinging to the side of the moving vehicle. She subsequently fell from the vehicle and was run over.

Emergency services then rushed Tallulah to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, where she sadly passed away on the evening of June 19. The court heard that the provisional cause of Tallulah’s death was traumatic head injuries.

Essex Police confirmed that investigations into the incident are continuing, and an 18-year-old man from Westcliff and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested in relation to the incident. The duo remain on bail until September, reports Essex Live.

In a statement, the force said: “We know there were a large number of young people in the area at the time, and we believe some may have witnessed what happened. We need anyone who has information and who we’ve not already spoken with to come forward.
